Another update I really wanted to post.
10 year ago, on this date, shit happened.
I remembered I was still in secondary one when this was broadcast all over the news.
I was wondering what the big fuss is about until I actually saw the moving images in the news.
A school kid, bloodied, dropping from the window as SWAT team members rescued him with a van.
The headlines were screaming COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL SHOOTOUT and oh my God, did I finally realize what was going on.

But I am just going to summarize here.
2 boys, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, school outcasts, went on a rampage this very day 10 years ago and killed 12 of their school mates and a teacher. The motives behind their attack were still being debated till this day but the many innocent lives that were lost, are just too shocking.
The people that they killed did not do anything to them but it was the culture and the beliefs back in their school in those days that lead them to become outcasts and later, killers.
I kept a close eye on this news for the next 10 years. It was an interesting topic as it shows how the school culture in US was like. It was revealed that there were lots of bullying, fighting, racism and other really unpleasant stuff going on.
Oh yes the thing that pissed me off the most till this day is that the news blamed the games that might have possibly influence the 2 boys.

GOSH HOW I HATE THAT! QUIT BLAMING OTHERS FOR YOUR F**KED UP MISTAKES!

My church friend, Isaac even loaned me a diary written by a girl, Rachel Scott, shortly before her end on that tragic day. It was compiled by her parents and the contents inside were really tear jerking.
I furiously read each and every news that come along every year about the anniversary of the massacre.
Finally, as I read the news on Yahoo! A few minutes ago, there were quite a lot of updates on that school, 10 years later.

I was glad that after such a long time, everybody had move on. Wounds have healed and survivors have moved on and became successful in life.

Words can’t express how touching it was to see how they have struggled and lived on and that everything was alright now.

God bless them all and I pray that such a thing will never happen again.

Orientation Camp is over and here I am, officially in Temasek Polytechnic.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~!
Orientation Camp is quite ok but a little boring.
Guess I have grown out of that kind of thing, LOL.
I went to school today, the first day of school, with an excited heart.
Excited at what I am going to learn and also fulfilling my dream of becoming a game programmer.
However, lurking somewhere in my heart is also the crap and slacking attitude that I obtained from army.
Hmm…I must pray and get rid of it, before it takes over and run me down.
The first lesson was some communication skill subject, something like the CARE lessons back in ITE.
The teacher was cool, got a cool slang and generally speaks excellent English, just like Cindy and Felia from CARE lessons that I had back in ITE. Audrey, the teacher, was quite friendly and interacts quite well with us, after my observation of her. But she talks a little…too much LOL.
Even she herself admits it because she explained that she is literature trained, you know, those types that think in terms of words and generally fall in love with a superb piece of poem and go crazy over famous writers instead of pop singers.
After her lesson I met up with my good buddy back in ITE, Wei Zhi, for a time of fellowship. He brought me to the laptop fair and I think I spotted one of Eng Koon’s friends who happen to be a promoter for Fujitsu. I didn’t call out to her cause there were too many people mobbing her it seems, LOL.
We went to the cafeteria belonging to the Design school and oh my God, had a super duper excellent western meal man!

We proceed to Cheers at the Business school after our meal to get my Red Bull, you know, its afternoon and my eyes starts to get sleepy so in order to keep myself awake, I drank it!
Off to the library after that and I was pretty impressed by the books available. Very very useful books that I can utilized for my projects. Didn’t have such a great library back in ITE and thank God I found one in Temasek Polytechnic.
My lesson starts at 1pm and I bid farewell to Wei Zhi at around 12.30pm and made my way towards the classroom.
I was early and there were NOBODY from my class. Damn and I was a little nervous as I wondered whether I had gone to the correct class.
Do you know why I was nervous?
It’s because students were outright playing all kinds of games in the lab!
For a moment I forgot that I was learning about making games man!

Gosh.
Seriously sometimes I still can’t believe I am doing what I love.
Everybody came and my teacher too so lesson starts right away.
Oh yeah my teacher is an ANG MO!
LOL yeah got a cool slang and heard that he is one of the developers of GTA4! Couldn’t confirm that but he was pretty cool as he knows his stuff!
The lesson was basically quite a paradigm shift from ITE and secondary school. We were given assignments right on the first day and poof! We dived right into tutorials.
Garry, that was the name of the Ang Mo, told us to think of 3-4 ideas for a board game.

Gosh, that was the COOLEST thing I ever heard!
Imagine! I AM REALLY PLANNING FOR A GAME!!!!
No longer going through boring lessons but we are going to start throwing ideas around to make a game!
However, it must come with an educational theme in it and honestly speaking, it was really tough. Thinking of 3-4 ideas on the spot isn’t easy. Imagine you have to think of the rules and gameplay and also not forgetting the educational theme. I and my group of 3, who were sitted beside me, brainstormed for ideas and we fully utilized the time that Garry gave us.
When it was time for presentation, I panicked, because the first 3 groups’ presentation was quite good and I didn’t expect them to cram so much information in the slide, whereas I had only a few words! I was planning to talk instead of letting the class read the slides but I didn’t expect Garry wanted us to pass up the slides!

Thank God he allowed us to email him, so therefore I went back home and added more words and sent him, feeling satisfied.
Truly, I still have much to learn. Most importantly, getting rid of the f**k up army lifestyle and back to a student/civilian.

Ah well I don’t have any homework but I am not going to do nothing so I am going to read some stuff.

4 months and 4 days has elapsed since my last post. Gosh. Sorry cause I was too busy.
Well…how should I do this man….so many things have happened since the last post.

Well let’s start off with the month of January. Had a great Chinese New Year, yeah was one of the best in my whole life cause I took additional off days after the main public holiday so I had 1 week of Chinese New Year, lol. Went visiting and socializing through the entire week and was glad that I make the right decision in taking off. Anyway I had too much off unclear anyway.

February huh…nothing much except the daily routine of wake up, eat, PSP and sleep. Stayed at home on Valentine’s Day cause I don’t have anyone at the moment to date, lol.

March was a month full of excitement. I was eagerly waiting for my confirmation to Temasek Polytechnic, which I had finally decided to go to, and gotten a confirmation that I had enrolled! There was quite a lot of stuff to do before I can become a student, namely from the military side. Can’t reveal much but all I can say that there was lots of hassle getting it done.

April! March has slipped away quietly and I did not notice the significant of April arriving.
1 MORE MONTH TO ORD!

I didn’t realize this until Clara pointed it out during last week’s cell group meeting.
OH MY GOD I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!!
But alas I can’t really jump around in joy for I am currently not feeling that well…yes I am having off today but I am not feeling well. I can’t sleep well in bunk too cause those buggers tend to make a lot of noise and sleeps late in the night. I actually wanted to continue typing my story but my head is getting too dizzy. Therefore instead I choose to update this little blog of mine. Well, got to go sleep now, till the next post! I still own you the 25 random things Felia! Don’t worry I won’t forget!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It’s a little late but hey who cares? Finally 2009 has arrived. The crap of 2008 is now GONE!
1 full year of NS is GONE!
Only 127 (GOSH!) days left!!!
That translates to roughly 4 months and 1 week to ORD!
GOD I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!

Really thank God that 2008 is gone man. So much crap stuff has happened. Especially most of them are army related. THANK GOD only 4 months and 1 week left for their bullshit!

Hard to believe that another year has just come and went just like that. I was browsing through the various blogs that I frequent and happened to chance upon my ex-ITE lecturer Yee Fen ( http://sinnothoo.wordpress.com/ ) and saw how she organized the events of 2008 that happened to her and gave me an idea to list my own too, LOL.

So here goes:

January: Nothing much happens, except that a few small people in bunk declared war on me, which I eventually emerged as victor in the end, LOL.

February: Nothing much again, invited a few people over to my house on Chinese New Year. It was a little too quiet. Miss those times when there were a lot of my friends over at my place during CNY. Going to do that again this year!

March: Can’t really remember much. Guess it must be some unpleasant army stuff that my brain has suppressed to the point that I can’t remember, LOL.

April: Ah…a month full of activities! Firstly, our dear Mas Selamat Kustaragi escaped and my company was RECALLED back from our Good Friday leave to hunt him down. After the hunt it was quickly followed by our half anticipated and half dreaded trip to India! Read my April post about it!

May: Amnesia again.

June: Ah… my 22nd birthday. I was surprised by my church friends as I never anticipate that anybody will remember because it falls on a weekday in 2008. Thanks to my best friend Gabriel that reminded them behind my back, LOL. I was blessed with a cool gift too, LOL. Unfortunately, on the eve of my birthday, I received a message from my dad that my God-father had passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 66. Almost told my dad to call our ‘contacts’ and ‘connections’ to deal with my f!@k up platoon sergeant that ABSOLUTELY refused to let me go and pay my respect to my God-father! Reason? ‘Oh your God-father isn’t your next of kin.” Oh wow you f!@#$r has sunk to a new stinky low in my eyes, you f!@#$%g tattoo loser. Don’t let me see you outside, jackass.

July: Lots of trainings due to the upcoming ATEC, it is an important examination for military personnel.

August: ATEC beings and lasted for 4 days 3 nights. It was the most tiring and toughest out field battle I ever been. Thank God after that the tempo in camp dropped dramatically.

September: Our dear PC (Puiiiii-toon, I mean Platoon Commander) left. Part one of my prayers came through. Thank you God!

October: Our dear stinky tattoo loser of a Platoon Sergeant left. My prayers were answered. Thank you God for delivering the two demons from us!

November: ½ of the personnel from other companies ORD. ½ of our sergeants left too. New commanders came in to get ready to replace those that had left. Most of this time there were little training going on, just some self running and static exercises.

December: All those that were supposed to ORD left. 12 days of leave arrived near the end of the month. OH MY GOD! It was soooo shiok until we got recalled back for half a day. !@#!$!$. Celebrate Christmas in church and at home and feasted like crazy. I had a gift exchange with my cell group and I gave Season 7 of the Simpsons to Hong Bin. He was so happy, LOL. I received a tube of shower foam courtesy of Patricia, LOL. Oh yes I bought Tiberium Wars 3 for my brother and Dawn of War to keep myself entertained. I wish I could buy Persona 3 and 4 but ah….need to conserve some cash. I wanted to get Ayumi Hamasaki’s newest album, which was basically a compilation of ALL her songs and music videos, but again, need to CONSERVE! I spent New Year’s eve at home and watched the countdown on TV, in case you were thinking no I wasn’t watching the local one I was watching Taiwan’s countdown which was MUCH MUCH more happening, with my family. You can literally (alright you can’t) see the smile on my face as I see every time and calendar devices changed to 2009.

2009. The long awaited year has arrived. The year where my life can continue on, things will get done, dreams fulfilled, new breakthroughs, new victories, new defeats, new friends, new things, new knowledge, new intimacies with God, renew interests in His Word and finally, perhaps I may find the one I love. Not confirmed yet so don’t anyhow bomb this in front of me, LOL.

Ah, the sweet sweet smell of freedom is near. As I type this, cold wind blew into my room (don’t worry no ghosts around I’ve checked), I can feel the strength and power from the Holy Ghost arriving.

Truly many exciting things will come in 2009. Even for church! My pastor gave us an outline for things to expect and I can tell you, it is a lot! Pastor did mention SPECIFICALLY about water baptism and it seems like it was directed at me. Alright then! I shall do it right away after I ORD! Water baptism, HERE I COME!

Oh yes oh yes I forgot to mention what I did today. I went to church and the service was good (including the outline of the year which I just mentioned) and helped Nick with the Newcomers’ Tea! It was eye-opening as this was the first time that I was present! I didn’t attended it when I was a young Christian as I was thrust into the next level of Bible Study without even been introduced to the church! LOL it was such a long time ago man! Close to 6 years now.
After the Tea my cell group went down to Bugis to have our lunch! It was quite a late lunch, LOL. Sat in Yi Huai’s car today and I was amazed by his powerful sound system and I almost feel like I was in a discotheque! Many things ran through my mind due to some familiar songs that I heard therefore I was quiet for most of the journey. One of them was dreading about going back to camp in the night -.-||

Another thought that was running through my mind was about my love life but I’m not going to share it because I know there are spybots on my blog. I might write it in another post perhaps.

I ate in a coffee shop opposite Bugis Street and my Hong Bin recommended me to try the duck rice with soup. I never ate that before and therefore gave it a go. My God! It was marvelous! There was a huge selection for soups and I had to go with salted vegetable soup as the one which I originally wanted ran out. Anyway had a good time during fellowship and we parted a little while after we finished our lunch.
I went back home with Rudolf and Wan Rong and we parted after reaching Khatib in the train.

Alright, I got to go get ready to head back to camp. -.-||

It’s alright I’ll bear with it for 4 more months! 2009 IS THE YEAR OF LIBERATION!

Greetings!

As promised, since I have some free time, I’ll update again.

Went to church alone in the morning. I had a hard time getting out of bed man. Thank God I prayed a little and manage to tear myself away from my bed, LOL.

Reached church super early and met Jeremy, BRYNNER and Cheryl, booked seats with Jeremy while the other 2 left for choir. Man everybody arrived when service was almost starting. Was afraid that the usher might come and hound me about the empty seats and I might have to turn into some hideous being to deal with them.

Service was great, considering the fact that it was the last one for 2008. Pastor delivered a great message, one which I would remember due to its importance, and I got to litter today! LOL!

I accompanied my cell group for lunch at the airport after we met one of our members that just came back from Taiwan. Man was freaking hungry but had no idea what to feast on in Kopitam at T3. I settled for chicken rice eventually.

Oh yes I met Hong Bin’s GIRLFRIEND wannabe today! Her name is BRYNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Yes emphasis on the ‘NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA’ when you say her name! LOL

We left Kopitam and sent Sun off! She’s going back to LA. Too bad I couldn’t see her due to the crowds even though I was 1 head above others. I met up with my previous cell group members though while waiting for Sun to arrive at the departure hall. Had a good chat with my previous cell group leader Eileen! Her baby is so freaking cuteeeeeeeeeeeee!

After Sun departed, was about to go home but the rest of the cell group ‘convinces’ me to go and have some tao hui at Dhoby Guat. Resisted at first but agreed eventually cause I was curious about this magical place that Hong Bin always try to drag me along but failed.

Had a blast over that place, well basically they were laughing at the jokes I make. Was fun making them laugh but I ran out of ideas eventually, LOL.

Head back home after Jeremy arrives and finishes his tao hui while the rest went to Plaza Singapura for window shopping.

I played Monster Hunter 2 on the train ride back and I use my new long sword, True Devil Slicer, my new armour, the Tigrex S set and went to wack a Bulldrome. Darn using melee weapon is hard man! Now I finally understand why my pals in camp had such a hard time. It’s ok time to adapt!

Oh yes forgot to mentioned that this past few days of leave, I was basically updating my novel and searching for ideas. Eventually I went to do some blog hopping to get personality for my characters and I came across some very interesting ones. Truly from the bottom of my heart, some of the writers are facing very difficult times and they voice it out in their blog. I can literally feel their pain, their sorrow, their hurt and their tears in the words. There were even some shocking tragedies that I’ve read. It really makes my heart goes all out for them.
Some of them are so down I feel like contacting them and talk to them. But oh well can’t do that cause I was blog hopping and they will totally freak out if I message them. But there is one thing I can do. That is to pray for them. =)

Seriously this is the first time I found out that there is much much more in this bloggy thingy. One person’s thoughts and world lies in that hundreds and thousands of words in cyberspace. A click on their blog basically brings you into their world. Man…mankind is moving from glory to glory man!
Blogging is such a good tool for the characters in my novel blessed by the Lord. Thank you Lord!

In case you’re still wondering what the hell is it about, sorry I can’t reveal to you yet. But I can say that I am working on it a lot these past few days. Soon perhaps!

How long since I last updated? Darn looking at the date I realized it was back in November!

Sorry readers, too many things to do. Sometimes don’t feel like updating it cause whether I type, some people scrutinize whatever was in the post in detail and talk to me about it. Let me tell everybody straight, I type whatever I like. Don’t like it? ALT+F4 or kick your PC or something to shut it down.

Oh well I guess that’s why I set the blog up in the first place, to allow readers to enter my life!

Let me try and recall for a moment what I have been up to.

Ok here goes:

I went to AFA (Anime Festival Asia) 2008 with some of my army personnel on 22nd November. Almost one month ago and here I am blogging about it eh?
Jam packed with people, mostly guys because there was a Gundam model sale going on. Hey I bought myself my first Gundam model!
Freaking cool! I finished assembling it a few days later, lol.

There were some cosplayers during that event but seriously, none of them can make it. It was so darn terrible that I stop taking pictures of them after a while and instead went around the event hall enjoying the many things on display. It makes me wonder sometimes how the hell our local cosplayers are even going to compete with their overseas counterparts. Some of them look like they don’t even bother with the details! Some even wore stuff not suited to their looks or body size!

Left the event later around 7+pm.

Fast forward to December, mostly on leave and offs from camp for the month.
Excellent! Staying in camp makes me stupid. Really. Nothing to do except eat, sleep, PSP and the occasional stuff to do. That’s all.
I can’t wait for 2009 to come!

Just came back from my cell group’s Christmas party. This year was special as I brought my brother along. Seems like he enjoy the attention given to him because he is the youngest among us all, lol.

This year’s food was good too! Better than last year man! From glory to glory!!!!
Had a really interesting gift exchange session. We were supposed to guess who gave us the gift by figuring out their baby pictures. When my turn came, I couldn’t guess my giver and had to do a forfeit by doing a front split. -.-||

Anyway thanks Patricia for the gift!
Watched Wild Child at the party and it was quite an interesting movie. After it ended, everybody started to pack up and leave. Gabriel and I stayed for awhile before we left in a big group. Came back home in the bus, playing Monster Hunter 2 during the journey of course, bath and decided to do a little update.

I don’t want this blog to die!!! LOL

Gosh I can’t wait for 2009 to arrive! ORD soon man! Getting out of this damn army soon!

Greetings!
Here’s another post from the GGDE!

Darn I just can’t stop playing Monster Hunter Freedom 2!!!!!
In my mind whenever I pick up the PSP, I am always thinking about how to get this armour, how to get this weapon and how to get this particular material.
I don’t understand why one of my platoon mate does not like such a cool game.
I mean you can solo and earn as much money and gain as much material you like and create armour and weapons to use in multiplayer battles man! The concept of Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is soooo simple and yet it is freaking addictive and fun!
Sad to say…Monster Hunter 3 is heading towards the Wii.
Damn Capcom (producers of the game), they always betray gamers that buy games exclusively for a gaming system (in this case the Playstation family of gaming systems) and then ABANDON them when they got rich selling the games and went to another system (in this case, usually it’s Nintendo).
It’s not the first time Capcom does such a thing…it happened to Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and now Monster Hunter.
Ah screw you Capcom, just wait for the GGDE to prove it to you about being loyal to your customers!

Lol sorry for ranting too much…it’s just that the way Capcom handle my favorite game franchises really piss me off.
Ah went for cell group meeting today and the message was great! It was about dealing with discouragement man. There are a lot of shits in life that you can continue to dwell on and keep thinking endless negative thoughts on it, or, you can either choose to think about it for awhile and FIGHT ON.
Discouragement in fact is actually a CHOICE. Either you think positively or let discouraging thoughts overrun you. Simple eh?
I like to thank God for this message as pastor had preached something similar about it when I was a new Christian. If I had continued to dwell on discouraging and negative thoughts, I wouldn’t be who I am right now.
I would have been a wreck!
It’s cool that the message had reminded me that there is an almighty God that is always thinking good and positive things about you, no matter how terrible you might be. So I thank God I gave up the negative and discouraging thoughts so many years ago and instead put my trust in Him and develop positive, encouraging thoughts about life and everything.
It is also Him that had transformed me to who I am now. Although…well some residue remains I am determined that together with His help I will do my best to eliminate the remaining nonsense.
THANK YOU LORD FOR SAVING ME!!!!

Sigh…so many things to do, yet so little time. The year is coming to a close soon huh. I actually saw the NTUC near my house set up its Christmas decoration. And it’s not even anywhere close to the day yet!
I feel like typing a reflection for this year but I am too brain tired to think of it. Perhaps while traveling to and fro church I’ll think about it. I got to go sleep now…need to wake up for service.

Well it’s a season where we sow into a building fund to buy a new building!
I pledge a break through amount this time round….man lots of things have to forego!

Been playing this game called Monster Hunter Freedom 2 recently in camp and it was a blast!
Killing huge bogey monsters and collecting their body parts to fashion it into weapons and armour really rocks! There are sooooo many different types with different stats man!
There are roughly 11 weapon types to choose from and by utilizing one of them, you are transformed into a particular style of playing. Best of all, there are no leveling in the game!
How strong and good your character is determined by your items and your strategies!
Best of all, if you cannot defeat a particular boss monster, you can enlist the help of 3 other friends wirelessly and kick the monster’s ass!

Good morning!

As I type out this post, I have just returned from my platoon mate Jun Hao’s 21^st birthday bash!

Quite a number of our platoon personnel attended and the food was great. It was a great atmosphere to hang around outside of camp and we had a great time eating, talking trash, laughing, fighting, singing birthday songs and eating cakes and of course, birthday boy sabotage!

Nevertheless it was a great party and we departed around 10pm. TJ, Brandon and his girlfriend departed with me and we headed home via the MRT.

October has ended and November has finally arrived! That means 6 more months to ORD!

191 more days! YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!

The countdown is still ongoing!

Darn can’t wait for 100 days, then 30 days, then 10 days, then finally 24 hours!

Recently I saw something that interests me in NYP’s DET main page:

Finally you place such shit after I had applied to TP.

WHAT THE SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.

Another thing is, MUST I MAKE A FREAKING PORTFOLIO?!?!

This has always been in my mind ever since I wanted to enter this course and this is the !@#$% stupid criteria that they have posted.

And also, this mini sentence that they had placed on their website still doesn’t clearly define much about ITE entry requirements besides the portfolio route.

You might say, “Eric, isn’t this clear enough?”

Honestly, to me, NO!

I mean, those !@#$% O levels students with NO BACKGROUND on IT or game development related stuff can apply using their damn results while ITE students with freaking good results CAN’T AND MUST PRODUCE A FREAKING PORTFOLIO?!?

What kind of logic is that? You mean we ITE students ain’t that capable as some 17 year old O level students?

Academically, perhaps not, but skills wise, YES.

Then what’s the point of having an ITE where you give false hope to those that has proven and hone their skills?

Uh-oh, do I sense some kind of BIAS?

Another sentence pisses me off too:

Oh wow. And when was the window for application? February or March right?

Wow wow wow.

Even my blog update faster than THEIR highly technologically, impressively, inspiring colourful bullshit.

Damn when I applied back in March, they did not accept ITE students. Therefore I have to apply for TP’s game development course because I WANT TO STUDY AND BECOME A GOOD GAME PROGRAMMER.

Is it that hard? I mean didn’t I work hard in ITE?

Now I have to wait for February to come along.

Now I have to try and see whether I have the chance to apply into NYP by resubmitting my application.

Now I must rush to create a portfolio if I am accepted.

Now I must prepare for a entry interview.

Now I must think of a way to get out of army if I manage to enroll into the course in April 2009.

Now I must start to read all my IT ebooks like crazy!

Man.

So much troubles in my education career.

I know and I know that man is never consistent therefore this sudden hope popped up.

I’ve been praying over this for many days now.

God oh God…please give me an answer and a plan.

Please show me the road, Lord. Is this the correct road and lane that I am taking?

The course in NYP is my dream course and will I be able to get in if I resubmit my application Lord?

Or do I remain in TP and fight for my future in that school?

Sigh.

Anyway, I got to go sleep now, didn’t had much sleep yesterday.

Good evening.
Yes here I am with another post.
This week in camp has been quite good, nothing much to do except the occasional vehicle maintenance with my dear driver Raj.
Darn being a driver isn’t easy man! So many things to maintain!
I was covered in all kinds of oil….from the contaminated to the black types. Real headache man!
Damn those vehicle technicians…claim they are under staffed when I see them strolling to and fro. Real understaffed huh.

But thank God some bugger was away for some course…it was real peace and quiet in the bunk.
Hope that bugger disappear man!

Yesterday…went to Japanese Matsuri festival held at Central, located above Clare Quay. There was a cosplay competition held there in conjunction with the festival. What’s Matsuri? Go to

Yesterday…was quite a sad day.
I don’t know what my friend is going through, I don’t know what his pain is…I just want to help…

God oh God…teach me how to help him. Give me the strength to overcome the demons. Man I was really saddened but what my friend did yesterday…he seems to be in sooooo much pain but I couldn’t help him much…

Sigh…

I went to church today and pastor delivered a great message during this time of economic recession. I will shine for God man!
That will be really in effect once I leave the army.
Sigh…still roughly about 7+ more months to go…I hope I can adjust back to school life well man.

Greetings!
Yes it’s been more than a month since my last post!
Gosh…times do flies when you’re busy, especially when I only have Saturday and Sunday.
Where should I start man?
Ok…let’s start from early September.
My battalion fought ATEC Stage 2, an evaluation test on our combat prowess as a battalion whole, for about 4 days 3 nights.
Man…those 4 days are really shag for me.
I have to carry the signal set, up the hill and down the hill.
I almost died on a few occasion. Tried to die but couldn’t, LOL.
Anyway after that dreaded ATEC Stage 2, which we won and passed by the way, the tempo in my company started to die down pretty quickly even though we are 6-7 months away from ORD.
I hope it stays that way till I ORD man!

Anyway on the 21st September I went to our locally hosted Games Convention Asia!
It was my very first time as I had missed it last year.
It was cool, but not as cool as the one I had pictured in mind.
I went with my platoon mate CC Toh as he was the one that mentioned about this convention to me.
There were lots, and I do mean LOTS of games being displayed by every publisher imaginable. What I noticed was there were quite a number of online games developed by Malaysia.
Malaysia man!!! What the hell is Singapore doing?!?!
Or are they waiting for me to arrive? LOL!
There was a cosplay event going on too and my dear friend CC Toh and I was busily taking photos of them.
I even managed to pose with some of the cosplayers!
As for those photos that I’ve taken, I’ll post it in my Facebook account, so check it out.

A week after the horrible ATEC Stage 2, we had to prepare for a change of Commanding Officer parade. Damn it was tiring and sickening.
I totally collapsed onto my bed once practice for it was over.
But I thank God that now it’s over. There is always a light at the end of the damn long winding tunnel.
I heard a song called Voices That Care during one of the slide show depicting the time spend at my unit by my Commanding Officer. I was curious about it and went to look for it.
Now I know why. It was a song to motivate the US soldiers during the 1991 Iraq War. Now the same song is use again to motivate the Commanding Officer and perhaps, us.

I bought my long awaited Company of Heroes and the expansion, Opposing Front! After 2 years of waiting I finally laid hands on this award winning real time strategy game. It is one of the finest games ever made by Relic man!
Guess what, I bought it only for $19 at the convention!
PRAISE THE LORD!

I also bought another long awaited game, Call of Duty 4!!! Man 2 blessings in one month!
Guess what again! I bought it for only $35 instead of the $50+ at retail!
Thanks to my best friend Gabe for scouting such a good deal!

Gosh now I am currently hooked to this 2 games. But I think I play Company of Heroes more than Call of Duty 4 due to its strategy and thinking involved.

Oh yes not forgetting about Facebook! My friend Bing Lu introduces me to Elven Blood and I was hooked to it and its other variations!
Darn I can’t stop playing it man! Although you just click and click and role play as the various person in the various worlds, it is quite fun as there is a storyline and the pictures are beautiful. The items are cool looking too! I’m doing my best to collect EVERYTHING.

Man!!! So many things to do yet so little time!
Thank God that I am on a long weekend break! Trying to catch up on the games and things I’ve missed! Man it isn’t easy when you only have 24 hours.

Good evening!
A few more hours and I am off to camp again.
Yes today’s my off day for my company spends an entire Saturday night and Sunday morning at the Padang.
You guess it; it was the AHM (Army Half Marathon) at the Padang Yesterday.
My unit was to help out with the logistic and crowd handling therefore we were there on Saturday night at 9pm.
Oh boy I caught the fireworks while standing at the World War I memorial!
It was beautiful….for awhile.
It got boring and I started yawning.
Not long after the firework ended my company was whisked off to work, carrying road blocks and table and setting them up. Worked till around 0130 hours, where we were given a break and was told to return at 4am.
My group of friends in my bunk went over to the underpass under Peninsular Plaza and slept there. Right beside the underpass was the LAN shop, IRC, where my BMT platoon had played at our end-of-BMT celebration.
Woke up groggily by my platoon IC’s phone call and my group returned to the Padang.
My platoon was stationed at the 21km Men’s Open bag deposit area and we worked throughout the whole morning.
Man I was drop dead tired.
After the whole AHM, we were dismissed at 1pm and I went home on the train.
Came back and did some stuff before dropping dead on the bed. I was woken up by my grandmother at around 6pm as she wants me to buy dinner. I told her later and went back to sleep.
I finally woke up at 7pm after my dad asked what I wanted for dinner.
Did some programming stuff and had dinner. Did my programming stuff again and drop dead into bed at around 10.30pm.
Woke up today around 9am and yes again due to my grandmother.
Damn she’s irritating sometimes. Patience…I must cultivate patience! God help me!
Did my programming stuff again the entire day, SHIOK MAN!
This is the way my life should be!
However all work and no play makes me a dull boy so I went to play some RPG on my PSP.
I’ve recently gotten Juiced 2 and Need for Speed Most Wanted on my PSP, I tried the latter last night and tried the former this afternoon.
Juiced 2 is FUN!
I was so absorbed into the game that I had to stop my procrastination to end the game in order to get lunch!
Gosh…if only everyday was like this.
Good things must come to an end eh?
Oh yeah earlier this week I chatted with my former ITE lecturer, Miss Wong.
It was a good talk man. Damn I wished I was STUDYING too like her instead of being in the damn army. When can I get my Masters too?

Good morning!
Here I am once again on a weekday morning typing this blog.
Yes you’ve guess correctly, it’s another off for me.
I’ve been procrastinating and procrastinating about updating on what’s been going on.
I got so many things to do once I’m back on weekends that I really forgot what to post about and I keep putting off about updating.
So let’s start with what’s happening so far.
Had a very interesting time since the last post so far…went for outfields, got recall back to camp for some “incident”, bought a PSP…
Oh did I mention that I bought a PSP?!
Lol most of you would be shocked to find out that I really don’t have a PSP as I did not see the need for it till now.
First of all, there weren’t many games that interest me until Sony finally allows PS1 games to be played on it.
That is like…GOD SEND!
Imagine the 400++ games on PS1 having a new life on your PSP! And able to play some of the greatest games ever made ON THE MOVE!
Can you even imagine how much fun and nostalgic is that for me?!?
Secondly…I did not have the money to buy it…the prices that I use to hear was ranging from $400-$500+…yes I was that NOT updated till recently.
Yeah so I’m a very happy owner of a PSP loaded with tons of fun games now, lol.
During these past few weeks, I’ve been going back into programming, since I did not really read about it too much.
I’ve started on a new programming language called C# because Microsoft’s XNA, a tool to make games for both Xbox 360 and PC, is based on C#.
So far, so good, nothing to difficult to understand and I could do all the practices thrown at me.
Darn…reading up on programming makes me miss school again.
Crap do you know how many times I fell asleep and dream that I was in school studying and talking to my friends?
The sad thing is…I woke up and realized…I’m still in the damn army.
I read some of my friends’ blog and everything in it is about, school, test, friends, hang out, relationship and all I can type is….about my life and the army.
Freaking demoralizing man.
Ah well…I can only trust and pray in the Lord…to deliver me from this army.
Oh yeah, I bought a new book called Vampire Hunter D.
It was the second volume I bought in the series. Quite a cool read, although the ending was quite sad.
But reading the book re-energizes me to write! I’ve dream of worlds and characters and putting them down in words! Sad to say…you won’t be able to get to read them unless it’s done…and also not to let pirates steal my work.
Man…as I listened to music I heard back when I was in school…all those memories came back.
Anyway, it’s time to move on.

Good evening!
Man…these 2 days was quite mentally draining.
Our battalion had a so called Games’ Day this past 2 days and was entitled “Amazing Race”.
What is so amazing?
Running around the island heading to military histories pertaining to Singapore and answering questions.
My platoon’s first stop was Fort Canning, followed by Changi Chapel and later the Army Museum at the Discovery Centre. That was the first day.
The second day was the Kranji War Memorial and lastly, Labrador Park.
The journey…man it was mentally draining. Nothing much to do except sleeping or listening to my music till I succumb to sleep.
But to my platoon’s surprise and mine, we won the 3rd prize in this game.
Really amazing thank God.
Went back home with my fellow signaler Chee Seng…had some talk as we usually do when we are out in the fields.
It’s been a long time since we talk like that as we haven’t been out in the fields for some time, LOL.
I came back home after waiting with him for his bus and went straight to reading about the game industry and various e-books on my computer.
Man…all reading these is making me itchy…I really can’t wait to start programming my games and posting it online!
Gosh…I feel so sleepy after reading so many articles and paragraphs. As I type this post…my eyes are feeling heavy.
Should I sleep or continue reading?

Good morning.
It’s been a long time since I last updated; I apologize for the lack of it.
Just a few hours before I book in and you must be wondering how am I able to type and post this on a Tuesday morning?!?
Well firstly I was on my block leave. My company back in army was on standby for 3 full weeks.
Can you imagine the agony of being in camp for 3 full weeks without even a chance to come out at all?!?
Worse still can you imagine you have to stay in with the most screwed up platoon sergeant and officer 24/7?
Those 3 weeks were really very trying weeks.
Thank God it is all over. I came out on the first week of July.
This year’s birthday was quite a solemn affair.
My Godfather died on the eve of my birthday, thus I have to spend my birthday mourning for him.
It was a sad affair really…my Godmother was crying till she faint, got up and cry till she faint again. Sigh…and my Godfather was still young…66 only.
I really miss school man.
I won’t stop saying it till I’m out of the damn army.
These past few days of block leave during weekdays I went out and saw…students in school uniform….students from polytechnic….JC students….man!
To think I still have such a loooooooooong way till school starts. Not to mention finishing this damn army.
Once I am out and back in school…I am going to aim for 4.0 for my GPA.
Yes you saw that right, 4.0!
I want to go university man!
I want to make my games and let many others have fun and laughter!
Damn…this army…

I’ve been playing Magic: The Gathering more often than my electronic games these past few weeks.
Man I am really hooked to it.
I’ve obtained lots of ideas from playing Magic: The Gathering man. However…I think I’ve slightly overspend too much money on it.
Got to watch my budget…otherwise no Taiwan next year!
Oh yes…it’s confirmed: I am going to Taiwan for a holiday next year!

Good evening.

Just a few more hours and I will be back in camp.

Tomorrow’s another field camp.

Damn I really dislike staying in the field. Bugs, grass, funny stuff around me and I have to paint my face with camouflage cream!

Oh well…less than a year left anyway. Got to grit my teeth and bear with it.

Temasek Polytechnic is waiting for me!

I went to the zoo today with my sister, brother and my cousin from China. She will be in Singapore for a month, enjoying how city life is compared to her village life back in Hainan Island, China.

Yes she’s from Hainan Island and I’m a Hainanese.

The funny thing is that she is 40+ years old and is my cousin. -.-||

Her daughter, who is 27 this year, has to call me uncle. -.-||

What the hell…what a mess up age gap.

Frankly speaking I never went back there even though my family has a house there. Next year will be my first!

Anyway back to the zoo. We went quite early and had KFC. Gosh I ordered for my cousin 2 piece chicken meal and she couldn’t finish it. I myself had a 3 piece chicken meal and I had to help her to finish it!

Half way throughout the tour of the zoo it started pouring. We had to wait and wait under shelter for the rain to pass but it didn’t and continues to the point where it is drizzling before we head off.

A few minutes later it rained heavily again. We did the same thing as we did early with the downpour and move off when it drizzles.

Then the rain started heavily again.

Gosh…it is really a waste of my time and I had to return back to camp! I cannot possibly spend the whole day waiting for the rain to end!

In the end, around 4pm we departed the zoo with some exhibits not seen yet.

Guess I’ll come again sometime in the future huh.

I’ve taken some pictures but I guess I’ll upload them on my next post.

Went home straight and I came back to settle some web stuff.

By early June I guess I can post something about this web stuff that I am working on so be patient.

I brought my physics textbook to camp given by my classmate from ITE College East back in 2006. I’m going to have a head start in some physics before I go for my game programming course!

Many many things to learn man.

Gosh…the requirements for it….it’s freaking insane. Digipen is my ULTIMATE DREAM SCHOOL!

But how do I get in? Mathematics isn’t my strongest subject and I had never taken physics in secondary school (not that I want to take any subjects in my damn secondary school). The degree program requires me to take SAT 1 so that they can evaluate me…but honestly, if you get a crap score, do you think they will want you? No matter how nicely they written on the webby about low SAT 1 scorer, in a heated decision to decide whether this candidate A is better than candidate B, they will eventually look at some other achievements and…seal the low scorer’s fate.

God oh God…guide me….how do I prepare for this battle?

If…yes a good IF on the positive side…I do manage to get in…how do I sustain a good grade?

There’s also a constant thing nagging at me.

Greetings!

It has been a long time since I’ve last updated!

I’m back from India and home has never felt so good!

Well actually I’ve been back for about 2 weeks now; it’s just that there was so much catch up to do that I do not have time to write a post!

So here I am typing out this post telling you what happened when I was in India.

I was in India for 2 weeks due to our ‘beloved’ SAF and we had to prepare lots of things in advance before the trip.

My luggage in total weighs close to 30kg!

Thank God my ‘beloved’ paid for everything otherwise I will go to the zone in my neighbourhood to pay a visit to ‘you know who’.

Training was good followed by the rest and relaxation period.

Let me tell you about how I feel about India.

India society is messed up. True it’s a rising economic power but from the way I see it, there is a still lot to be done. The moment I exited the airport, there was an incredible smell that I cannot forget. The streets are broken and dirty; people piss and shit anywhere and whenever they like. Oh yes there is the constant flies buzzing around you and did I mentioned about the incredible smell?

Indian merchants raise the price of their wares to exorbitant amounts and almost all are out to cheat you. It’s very hard to find a decent and honest merchant. As long as you are a different skin colour and don’t speak their language, you become instant money jackpot!

Can you imagine I paid S$3 for a can of lemon tea just because we stopped at a pit stop while traveling?!

There is always a constant mob of salesman made up of kids and teenagers showing their Taj Mahal souvenirs and wanting you to buy! A tip if you’re going to buy anything in India: start bargaining by cutting off half of the asking price, e.g. Rs 40 is the price; ask for Rs 20 or less. You’ll be amazed that they will be willing to sell even at that price! Not that I am stingy, but they are really trying to rip us off with every opportunity that they can get.

I’ve been to many bazaars in India and for 1 piece of shawl the price literally fluctuate up & down. It’s sad that the teenagers and kids have to work whereas people of the same age back in Singapore are enjoying their life in school. It really makes me think how fortunate we are to be born and live in Singapore.

I’m going to score straight As when I go to Temasek Polytechnic man!

It is really depressing to take a walk down Indian streets man. Seeing the despair and the rundown buildings really makes you down while shopping. I’ve saw houses belonging to both rich and poor and it is really a large gap between the rich and poor. The rich gets richer while the poor gets poorer. The poor never seems to get out of the vicious cycle of poverty. I’ve seen 3 generations in a family living in a broken down make shift hut by the side of the road when my tour bus was caught in the New Delhi jam.

Sorry to burst your bubble Miss Cindy, but that is what I feel about India.

On the bright side, we went to Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal.

Both of them are really beautiful. The structure was so beautifully designed and majestic and it really reflects the riches and power of the rulers during their time. I can’t help but wonder what the hell happened to India over the years. I’ve uploaded the photos so take a look, I’ve commented on them.

I had 4 days of leave from our training in India and I took sometime to catch up with my family and also visited College East.

I went back to College East on Tuesday and was surprised to see a laptop sale going on.

I was like…WTF! We didn’t have that back in my batch!

Truly College East is moving from glory to glory!

I met Adam & Chester at the life lobby on the first floor while I was on the way to meet them. They invited me for lunch but I declined, only finally accepting their treat for a drink.

We catch up on what is happening and we had a good talk together.

As usual Adam tries to ‘introduce’ some girls to me but I refuse the offer, LOL.

We went back to Sun Centre of Technology, where I met some ex-students that I helped to teach with Susan, Andy and Andrew. It was good to see some of them displaying their talents in the various projects and competitions that they participate in.

I really can’t wait to go back to school and finally doing what I really wanted to do. I’ve waited for like 9 years (including next year) to do it man!

Recently my bunk has been real crazy about Magic The Gathering. Yes you heard it right; we’re so bored that we play card games!

What I wanna write (yes I wrote this post in the bus on the way to church today) about the show is that it really makes me think how blessed I am by God. The sense of being alive, the ride to church in the bus, the strength to write and the simple act of breathing can’t describe how thankful I am to be simply me, alive and kicking.

After watching this series, which was quite sad by the way, I’ve never look at life again using the old way I used to see.

I want to be good, fulfill my dreams, help people, serve God and be a blessing and shine for God. I just can’t wait for the damn NS to end.

I’ve been offered a place in Temasek Polytechnic!

My course is entitled Diploma in Game and Entertainment Technology (http://www-it.tp.edu.sg/int_home/int_courses/int_ft_courses/int_ftc_get.htm ) and guess what, I’ll be studying how to make digital games! I’m going to be officially a poly student and game designer/programmer!

Oh my God…I’ve waited 8 years just to see this piece of good news!

I can’t thank the Lord enough for helping me through all these years and finally leading me to achieve this goal.

I am so thrilled that I can finally do what I always and really wanted to do ever since back in secondary 2.

My heart is bursting with joy, excitement and tears of happiness!

Hello readers.

Sorry for not updating in such a long time.

You must have thought that this blog of mine is dead, well it isn’t.

It’s just that…I do not know what to post.

I wonder how many are still reading my blog despite my lack of updates, lol.

Firstly a very late Happy New Year and a Happy Chinese New Year to you.

I hope that 2008 is a good start to you and that all your resolution and goals have been planned and written down.

I’ve written mine…still thinking of the remaining unfilled spaces in my Goal Setting card given by my church…think I won’t be filling in much this year.

2008 has started man… 1 full year of NS.

I’m going to India in April…and this makes me miss home and school even more.

So far life in NS has been good, not so much activity since after the Chinese New Year break.

Out field is not that insane anymore, because I just carry my signal set and follows my officer. Some of my platoon mates has declared cold war on me due to some issues which I reported them and they have stopped talking to me.

Oh well, good riddance to them then.

In fact I’ve found better friends even since I’ve left the group that declared cold war on me. Thank God I left them because they don’t have much intelligence anyway. Always acting childishly and stuck up to my sergeant.

I’m really feeling homesick and school sick man. I really miss my home and school!

Thank God I do not have a girlfriend yet, otherwise I will really go crazy.

I’ve submitted my DAE application to NYP to enter into their game programming course, entitled DET.

Please pray that I am able to enter the course man!

I’ve submitted another application for JPAE to increase my chances so pray about that too!

2008 also marks the departure of one of my good church friend Kristine, who is returning back to her home country, Taiwan, for good.

I wish you all the best in your life girl! Live your life to the best and I’ll call you if I ever go Taiwan, lol.

This Chinese New Year has been good, collected quite a lot of red packets, thank God.

I’ve spend some on buying all those comics that I’ve missed so therefore I won’t be buying much stuff after this as I’ll be saving up for a PS3, a PSP, a Wii and a new powerful PC.

Pretty ambitious huh, lol.

My C++ studies has been a little stagnant, I’m stuck currently at arrays…got to start studying again. I’m thinking of studying a few programming languages at a go, so that I won’t feel bored and also helps me to increase my knowledge.

My novel…well…got to work on it!

There’s still quite some time to finishing it but rest assured you’ll get to read it somehow. All right, that’s all for now.

Good morning!

Today’s Boxing Day as I started to type out this post.

Man, this Christmas was a real busy one.

I booked out on the 19^th, due to Hari Raya.

I was suppose to only book in back today afternoon but unfortunately some of us does not have the leave so we had to return on Friday and book out in the evening.

I was wondering…why even bother wasting our time.

Might as well give us Friday off!

*Shakes head at the competency level of some organization*

Anyway I went to church for Christmas and this year’s drama were quite interesting.

I don’t know why…but I wasn’t quite in the Christmas mood this year. It’s because…well…something happened and man…I can’t say it out.

Went for a Christmas party at my cousin’s place in Toa Payoh on Christmas Eve. It was the first time and also the last time that I visit his house…because he is selling it away. My nephews and nieces were there man!

They are more active and able to understand simple stuff now!

Some of them can even walk!

Oh yes, my cousin’s Japanese curry sauce was soooooo delicious man!

I pour so much onto my spaghetti till the paper plate started to become weak, lol.

My family and I left roughly around 9 as it was getting crowded.

I went for my cell group’s Christmas party on Christmas Day itself…went to my leader’s place slightly earlier with Brynner to purchase food and to help out with the cooking.

Man, it was so tiring cooking for so many people man!

Lol…it was my first time doing so and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the games that we played with the cell group and with the new friends. One thing that shocks me was that there was a girl that I thought was a new friend…until Gabriel told me that she was in fact in our cell group for quite some time!

Gah….it was so embarrassing. Damn NS takes away my time man.

Hi all.

It’s me again.

Christmas is just around the corner eh?

So what are you doing?

I don’t know what I’ll be doing…probably spending it in church?

My church has a Christmas drama every year and it is never the same each passing year.

Hope that it will touch me again like the past years.

Damn…I have a very weird feeling right now.

I don’t know how to explain it and I don’t feel like typing it out because everybody will see this post…I don’t know man.

So many things going through my mind and my heart, sigh.

Damn this army man.

I’m determined to have a good, if not better, character after this 1 year and 5 months man.

I am NOT going to let the shit of army change me.

I’m getting older and older and I have yet so many things left unfulfilled.

Hello all.

Here I am again, typing this post out.

Came back home today after guard duty and felt drained and tired.

I’ve managed to talk to my old English teacher, Miss Georgina Bong on MSN for a little while. It has been like…4 years since I last saw her?

Amazing how time flies.

Anyway I wrote a post yesterday during guard duty cause I was really feeling bored after reading the comics that I’ve bought on Friday’s nights out.

Here ya go:

Hi all.

I’m writing this post on a piece of paper, in camp right now during my off peak guard duty.

Damn this is an extra duty man. The reason?

I left a fake Bangalore explosive at a breeching point during my last out field and forgot to retrieve back.

Man…and I had a cell group outing today!

It is the first outing I had with my new cell group and I missed it.

What a waste of opportunity to get to know my cell group members better.

Anyway, have been mostly reading comics during the off peak time this guard duty. Been reading Mx0, a new comic that my friend brought to camp and is extremely interesting and entertaining, Shin Megamitensei, a mature comic about demons. This 2 series spark back my interest and also helped to improve my Chinese!

I got so back into comics that I ran to Lot 1 and bought some…English comics, lol.

Time has been at least easy to pass so far, with no turnout yet.

I’ll stop here now, feel like adding some stuff to my novel.

Good evening.

Sorry that I did not update my blog for some time.

One of the reasons was due to procrastination…lol.

So I manage to discipline myself and update you guys on what has happened to me so far.

I’m officially addicted to a game in Facebook man, lol.

It’s called Counter-Strike Red Team Go so expect an invitation from me if you have added me to your friend list!

Nearing to the end of October, I’ve decided to resurrect my old online game account in Final Fantasy XI and man!!!!

It brings back such sweet memories.

I played this game like crazy when it was first released after my O Levels and I continued on during my 2^ndO Levels attempt.

Ah…my character and the places in the game…it sure do bring back times that are long gone.

All of my pals played the game too and thankfully most of them are still around even though some has quit.

I’ve stopped like for…2 years?

They’ve grown rich and powerful and I’m like playing catch up man.

Nevertheless I still enjoy playing it tremendously even after 2 years of hiatus and I’ve bought the expansions that I’ve missed. I think I prefer the present game play than the one 2 years back, lol.

One of the reasons is that it’s much easier to play now and new players won’t have to suffer so much like me and my pals when the game was first released.

Oh yes oh yes I’ve bought a second hand PS2 man!

FINALLY!

After sooooooooooooooo freaking long I have one…although it seems kind of late now that the PS3 has launched.

But it’s alright, there are still lots of games that I have not played and it can keep me occupied till I’ve saved enough for PS3.

It is also a good learning experience for my game career as I can understand the game play of so many games that the PS2 has.

And to top it off, I’ve bought it for only $200!

Lol…thank God man.

There is truly a season and time for everything.

Moving on to my army life.

I’m really busy for the past 1 month man.

I’ve finished my trade course in weapon training and embarking on section and platoon training.

Oh yeah my role in the platoon is a runner, signaler if you do not know army terms.

Training is getting tougher and tougher with each book in…book out time is never enough man.

Sometimes…I asked God seriously why I’m in the army. Why I do have to do all this.

It’s getting crazier every day…and I pray and pray like crazy each quiet time that I have, even in the forest.

But praise God, He never leaves me alone as I can feel Him even when I’m going through the worst of time.

Thankfully during my free times I have lots of reading material brought into camp by me and my platoon mates. Recently we’ve brought Chinese chess so life isn’t that boring in camp.

Even if I REALLY doesn’t have anything to do, I’ll think about the current game plot that I has which I have pen it down since the start of my trade course. What is it about I cannot tell you for the moment, lol.

But I assure you it will be a good read and if it manages to become a game, a good game play experience for you!

My C++ studies have been lagging behind as I’ve lesser time to read and practice up on it since I started back my Final Fantasy XI.

I’m managing my time like crazy now, milking each and every clear minded time that I have into it.

Oh God I pray that I can come up with a port folio in time when I apply for DET in NYP man.

Arise and Build has arrived in my church recently and I’ve pledged an amount that God has spoken. Basically it’s a time where we donate our money so that my church can get out of Expo and move into a building of our own.

So many things to think and do…yet so little time.

Good evening!

Booked out on Friday at 7pm, was great man!

As I have finish BMT, I and my company are allowed to book out on Fridays.

Man now I have time to catch up on the game industry and also to continue my C++ studies!

The time was well spent, as I’ve read up on what has happened the past 1 week and also learn another new item in C++ and solved a major problem that does not allows my program to run.

However, seriously….I still misses the times that I had before I enlisted.

My friend Li Jie encouraged me yesterday night by saying that God is teaching me how to maximize a few little pockets of time here and there.

Well, quite true, I guess this is to train me not to waste time and also to learn things quickly within the time given.

Man, I must make a few mini games to serve as my port folio before I finish NS and apply for that course that I want in poly!

God oh God…please teach me how to use the time given to me!

Shifting the topic to army, many things happened after my 1 week block leave.

People came and go, new things to learn and new events happening within this past 1 week!

Seriously, I do not know what is going to happen next each day and how I am going to spend my 20 months remaining, but I commit it all to God and let Him lead me as what has happened back when I was in ITE.

Another major thing happened in my church life today.

My cell group was split and the members went into different groups!

I was so shocked at the sudden change man!

So many changes in a week!

Oh WOW!

Gabriel’s girlfriend, Wan Rong, said she messages me on MSN about it, but I think I missed that part.

I have to sort of restart again back in a new cell group but thankfully Gabriel and Wan Rong is together with me in the new group.

Gabriel my closest friend since primary school, as been through thick and thin with me over the years and I seriously thank God that I have such a friend to weather through daily life and also sticking with me all these years when we were switch around in different cell groups in church.

So far…the new cell group seems to have more people and they look friendly to me, so I guess I’ll be alright.

Truly God is good, Amen.

Please pray for me not to despair and that I am able to adapt to all these new changes quickly and painlessly.

Hey who knows, all this changes might be good! Just that…I’m finding it a little hard to accept it now.

Hello guys!

Sigh, a few more hours and I’ll have to book in soon.

This week has gone by pretty fast.

I’ve also sustained some injuries man.

Firstly I was bitten by a wasp on the neck on Monday when I swing my towel onto my shoulder before heading to the showers. Unknowingly a wasp was there and I felt a sharp pain before using my hands to brush off 1 big freaking black wasp off my neck!

For that I had to rush down quickly to a clinic near my mom’s working place to receive a jab.

Another injury was inside my ears. My left ear has been very stuff up with ear wax for a very long time and I couldn’t hear very well. So I told my mom to dig out as much as possible from both ears. Upon reaching the right ear, she accidentally scrapes off the side walls of my ears while digging out an extraordinary big and black piece of ear wax. It hurts like hell and infection settled in quickly. So my right ear can’t hear much and finally I can’t hear anything much using both ears. Went to the doctor again this morning and she gave me 2 bottles of medication and told me to apply 1 drop 3 times a day to get rid of the wax.

Oh man…I hope I have time to do that inside camp. Otherwise I’m like running around half deaf!

Really dreaded going back after experiencing 1 week of pure freedom, can you understand the feeling?!?

God oh God…please continue to be with me as I go through this period of NS man.

I was going to put a countdown timer to ORD on my blog but for some reason it didn’t showed up and even if it did, it was very small to be seen clearly. So I save it till my next book out to do it.

While I was studying how to place the countdown timer, I input my ORD date, 15^th May 2009 and guess what, it is about 599 days to my ORD!

I was like….what the hell…!

20 months is equivalent to 599 days?!?!

I think I better start counting down in months rather than days otherwise I’ll go crazy!

So for those Christian readers that are reading this post, please pray that I have the energy, courage and strength to face each challenges everyday in camp.

I don’t really want to go back….but what choice do I have?

It’s either I go back or AWOL and go DB.

I rather not choose the latter cause I still have many more things I wanted to do for God and for myself!

Hello there!

Yeah it’s another post from me!

I’ve POP from Basic Military Training on the 15^th of this month and had a week of leave from camp.

Marched 24km before I went for my Passing out Parade and man, it was real mental torture. Your feet are almost half rotten from the march and you still have to do a fantastic drill in front of your loved ones before you passed out from BMT.

Thank God I’ve overcome it.

Yeah by the way sorry I took this long to type a post because I was busy playing games, watching shows, reading, going out and studying the game industry the entire week.

On the 16^th my platoon had an outing to Sentosa, dinner at Marina Square, singing at Kbox and gaming at Peninsular Plaza at 12am.

Been playing the Half Life 2 game that I’ve bought a month ago and so far I’m impressed with the storyline and graphics. It is freaking realistic and emotional engaging man!

Man I hope I can make a game like that in the future. Just heard news that there is a new expansion coming out this week, sigh, I do not have enough cash to purchase it.

There’s also another game that I wanted to purchase called Bioshock.

It received rave reviews once it came out, been cited by many gaming website as the game of the month!

Man…I’m just a lowly soldier…where do I find the money to buy all this?!

I’ve bought Jay Chou’s Secret DVD and I find it to be a great show. This Jay is really talented man.

He is the king of pop and now he’s entering the movie industry. What’s next for him I wonder?

Maybe if I have the money next time, I pray that I can hire him to write songs for my games LOL.

I’ve been reading this book entitled Uncovering The Bible by David Pawson for the entire week.

Really a great book as I’ve read the entire Bible for about 3-4 times and yet there are still many questions in my head that are still unanswered. Well basically this book helps in understanding what the Bible is saying and it manages to answer some of the questions lingering in my mind. This book also gave me quite a few ideas that I think can be made into a few games!

Truly God is a creative God. His book contains so much ideas that I can use!

Oh yes another thing to thank God for. I’ve missed the recent Games Convention held at Suntec as I was in field camp.

By God’s grace, there is another game show, but held in Japan called the Tokyo Game Show. It is usually where the games from the East and West are shown in full force.

I was able to witness the news streaming in from the various game websites and I saw many interesting announcements from the various game companies and also many new games!

Truly this has been a fruitful week for me, as I’ve manage to catch up with what I’ve missed and had rested well.

Good afternoon guys!

Just book out from camp this morning at 7+am.

Sorry for the lack of updates for the past 2 weeks, I’m really very worn out each time I come back from camp and I have too much things to catch up to really type much.

You might be wondering what the reason is that I book out this morning.

Well…been having field camp in Pulau Tekong for the last 1 week, my first ever man.

It was real tiring during the field camp, lack of sleep and lots of things to do. Take for instance the digging of shell script and fire trench man. I have to dig like crazy for my own shell script so that in wartime I can use that to prone and shoot at the enemy.

The fire trench was the craziest digging I ever did. Well not me exactly, but my whole section in my platoon.

We had to dig to the depth that allows the tallest man in our section to be able to stand up and lean against it till it reaches his chest level, so that he can be able to shoot properly.

Guess what, I was the tallest guy.

We had to dig like crazy man! I think we dig almost close to 1.8 meters to be able to accommodate me man!

Sorry guys…didn’t mean to be that tall.

Had quite interesting firing drills during the field camp, where we practice different methods of engaging the enemy.

Oh yes we had a free and easy night on Friday.

The whole battalion went for BBQ on Tekong.

Can you believe it?!? There was even a movie screening using paper as the screen against a 3 toner while the projector displays the movie on it!

I was really amazed for this was the first time I ever saw such a sight. I didn’t really eat much BBQ stuff because it was really jam pack with people.

Watch the movie 300 that was screening at that time. Fell asleep at the ending man lol.

Went back to my camp in Singapore yesterday and almost could book out last night…but there were still too many things to be done so we ended up booking out this morning.

Oh yeah one more thing, I got CONFINED again!

DAMN!

The reason? My signature did not much my sample one in the record book when I signed out my weapon.

I was like…WTF!!!!!!!!!!

A few of my platoon mates was also confined because of this.

Damn it’s really easy to get screwed in the army man.

Please pray for me man!!!! I really need your prayers! Please pray that I am always on high alert and that wisdom be upon me whenever I am in the army!

Next week will be my final week of BMT man!

Thank God that this 2 months past quickly.

The only tough thing left before I pass out of BMT is the 24km road march.

For this event, I, Eric, sincerely and humbly request for your prayers for me to overcome this 24km road march.

Road marches are seriously mentally torturing and I need your prayers to overcome this obstacle.

God, please be with me when I do the final road march.

Hello there. It’s me again.

Sorry for the lack of some serious updates, I’ve been very busy in camp for the last 2 weeks due to my unit’s involvement in the SAFRA Sheares Bridge Run and Army Half Marathon.

The preparations were real hectic and lots of things need to be done, therefore my book out days for the last 2 weeks were erratic and I didn’t have the energy to sit down and type a proper post. Even as I type out this post, I have to return to camp later as the event commences tomorrow.

I have some bad news to share. During my 2 days field camp last week, my weapon was stolen by my officer man!

I was awarded 1 confinement this weekend, which I have to serve after the event.

Man, this really sucks. I’ll be wasting time doing nothing man. I rather study more C++ than doing nothing.

Please pray for me man! Pray that I will be more alert and careful in my entire NS career and that I will not sign anymore confinements or extra duties.

Anyway, onto the good news, I passed my SOC test which was conducted today before I booked out!

My timing was 8:58 minutes man! I was the 2^nd winner in my platoon man! Thank you God!

Truly He is miraculous as I prayed hard and fervently before I embarked onto the test. Even during the test as I was panting hard and getting real tired, I cried out for His help and He really did help and push me on.

Thank you Lord.

Well basically that’s all that is what has happened this past 2 weeks. Also to my friends that are linked to me, I’ve also read your blogs and I thank you all for updating so that I can know roughly what you guys are doing and this makes me feel that I am still in contact with you guys.

Good evening!

Thank God that I was able to book out on Wednesday night due to National Day on Thursday. I went to my cousin’s place to celebrate his twins’ first birthday, which happen to fall on National Day.

My oh my how they have grown. It seems like yesterday that they were still so small and in a short span of a few months they have grown tremendously. Celebrated their birthdays together with the nation and had a buffet dinner before heading back to camp in the night.

Did SOC on Friday and my hands were left with very bad blisters after I did the monkey bar. So bad that my skin was peeling off and hurts like hell when I wash it with water.

Book out on Saturday afternoon, thank God for the second book out in a week, went out with my mom to Jurong Point to get a new spectacles done for my outfield and had dinner with my cousin (the twins’ father) and my mom.

I went to church today and man, I was greatly blessed by the sharing of the Word by Dr. A.R. Bernard. Man what he said directly refers to the situation that I am in right now man.

I’ve always find his preaching of the Word to be very prophetic and it really shines a light in the current situation that you are in. Therefore I’ve pre-ordered his sermon DVDs for the past 2 days that he was in Singapore!

Man, just a few more hours before booking in. After today, it will mark the 5^th week of my BMT phase. Praise God that I’ve managed to do 1 chin-up! I was praying last Sunday about the chin-up and God encouraged me by giving me the strength to finally do at least 1!

I’m asking a favor from all you Christians that are reading my blog, please pray that I can pass my IPPT and successfully pass out from this BMT phase. Please continue to pray that I have the spiritual stamina to go on! Your prayers are sincerely needed!

5 more weeks till BMT ends. Each week the training gets crazier and crazier. I do not know what will happen this week but I sincerely pray that no matter what they throw at me and my platoon, I pray that I will be able to overcome it.

Good evening!

It’s amazing how fast time flies. Yesterday was the second time that I’ve booked out!

Read up some C++ and caught up with what was going on in the gaming industry for the past 1 week and was shocked that so much things happened.

Man, I pray that I will not become obsolete once I ORD.

Lord please guide me to the end!

I bought the Source Premier Pack on Steam today which basically comprises of Half Life 2 and other Source games made by Valve. I bought it for the sake of trying out the Source SDK so that I can learn to create a modification to the game each book out.

Played Counter Strike Source and it was excellent man! I hope I can study C++ quickly and practice it on this SDK that I just bought!

About what I did during the army this week, man I had range this week. It was so freaking boring man. The best companion I’ve found during boredom besides Jesus was writing! Therefore I’ve written about 2 days of what I did. So here goes:

30-07-07

Monday 30^th, booked in on Sunday, yesterday at 8.30pm. My dad sends me to the camp on his bike so I can relax and enjoy the ride instead of squeezing with the others on the MRT. There wasn’t much activity after booking in, except unpacking my stuff before I sleep.

No 5 BX today, had a light breakfast before waiting for the bus to take us to a virtual shooting range. We waited almost for an hour and a half before it finally arrives.

Went for the virtual range and realized that my shooting sucks in real life. It was tiring holding the rifle man.

Couldn’t really aim well due to my hands which were shaking.

Man, how am I supposed to pass my range test this Wednesday…

However, after some tips from my platoon sergeant, my night shots improved and for my overall score, I did not fail!

Praise God!

He always answers our prayers!

My faith in Him has increased dramatically man!

Wednesday, 1^st August. Woke up damn early at 4am for live shooting and was feeling real groggy when I awoke.

Therefore I stoned and prayed for about 10 minutes on my bed. Washed up, wore my long 4 and collected my SAR21 before heading off to a quick breakfast.

Sergeant appointed me to be the one to help to distribute the weapons to my platoon! WOW!

Had a short trip to Nee Soon Camp and here I am, writing this entry while shots are going off while I waited for my turn to shoot. Feeling calm and not one bit nervous, thank God.

Hope I pass!

A little while later, I came back from my zeroing shots. Damn my technique of shooting is bad man. A few shots went all over the place. I’m going for the actual test now, pray that I pass…

Back from my test. Woohoo I got 13 shots out of 16!

I almost got a full score if I had not trembled man!

I’m going to pray for a good score for my night shots!

Yeah that’s the 2 entries that I wrote for those 2 days. The scores for the night shots were very bad. I didn’t pass and I had to re-shoot where I obtained an overall score of 23 out of 31. I didn’t write about the night part cause I was too freaking tired.

Man seriously I hope I don’t burn out. I didn’t went service on Saturday cause I was too beat by the road march in the morning and there weren’t any service on Sunday morning cause everything is held at the Festival of Praise at the indoor stadium.

Please pray for me man!

Pray that the Holy Spirit will always be with me!

Good afternoon guys!

Just came back not long from church service.

I booked out yesterday at 1pm and yes I’m back from my 2 weeks of confinement in the army!

Man these 2 weeks was really damn unbearable.

I went through training and had to learn new things at a fast pace man.

My bunk mates sure are an interesting bunch.

We came from mostly ITE or had just finished O Levels and amazingly we blended quite well together I daresay.

Thank God my Sergeants and Officers are good and patient with my platoon.

I can see that they have been extremely patient with us, only ordering us to go into push up positions when we really deserve it, but I do not know how long it will last.

Never really saw the extreme punishment sessions yet and I pray sincerely to God that I will never experience it man.

Everyday is training and training and training man…freaking boring.

Thank God I constantly read the Bible and prayed; otherwise I will really go insane man.

The Bible was my best companion when I was all alone, I always looked forward to my free time at night where I can read my Bible and know more about God before lights off.

It is the presence of God that kept me on…otherwise I really do not know how I managed to survived these 2 weeks.

7 more weeks to go before my BMT is over man…I wonder what activities I will continue to do man.

Going to book in soon in a few hours time man…please pray for me guys!

Pray that I may survive the remaining 7 weeks in 1 piece!

Good evening readers.

This would probably be my last entry before I am enlisted.

Yep, tomorrow’s the day, where I would serve the nation for 2 years.

My ITE classmate Bing Lu is in the same unit as me, but I wonder whether we will be in the same bunk.

Lots of uncertainty awaits me man.

I’ve only started to prepare today, as I do not have any mood to prepare at all on the previous day.

Being playing CS and watching Full Metal Panic Fumoffu the whole day. It’s good to reminisce on this funny anime that I love, even till today.

Oh yes I’ve also started on the storyline for my game! But sad to say, I just cannot show you yet, because it is still in the early developments and also I have enlistment man!

I hope that I can have more ideas when I have free time in my camp, so that I can continue the story.

Basically all I can tell you that my game will be based in Singapore and it involves the supernatural.

I’m thinking of developing this as a 3D 3^rd person RPG game, but I might change it in the future.

I would like to thank everybody that sent me encouragement over MSN, over SMS and of course in person.

Your support and encouragement give me lots of strength and not forgetting the main source of my strength: Jesus.

Yeah I hope He’ll watch over me this 2 years man.

Hello reader!

I’m still around man yeah!

However, it’s about 3 more days left till my enlistment.

Damn…time flies so fast.

I still have not packed my stuff yet…LOL.

Oh yeah sorry about the size of the photos in my previous post, it seems to take up your entire web browser I know but I can’t reduce it without sacrificing the quality.

Man…I’m sending off 2 of my ITE friends for their enlistment to the police tomorrow morning.

I just wondered what is going through their mind right now.

Excited?

Worried?

Nervous?

Heck care?

My turn is almost coming in 3 days time….I still does not bear to leave my civilian life man.

Too much things left undone.

Too much things left unsaid. Yes continue to wonder what words I’ve not said to whom, LOL.

I AM NOT TELLING YET!

But, sigh, I’ll be freaking busy the next 2 years man.

I’ve heard from many sources that my direct enlistment into the 41^st Singapore Armored Regiment is EXTREMLY TOUGH.

Man…I wondered how tough it is.

I’ve kick started back my training regime today and while I was running, I keep on praying and praying to God.

Would you believe it, my timing has improved!

I’ve shaved off close to 3+ minutes off my previous running record!

Amazing! Thank you Lord!

I seriously prayed a lot during my own training regime.

Cause I have no idea what will happened during my NS, because I wasn’t even interested in the first place.

To keep my mind occupied and not think about all this, I’ve been like playing games, reading the novel Night Watch and reading up on C++ the entire day.

I know it sounds like avoiding the issue, but hey what do you want me to do when enlistment date is so near?

I pray that during my weekends, I have enough strength, energy and motivation to continue on my study on game programming and on my port folio.

And I’m going to earn more than $6000 a month to stop them from getting me back into reservist after the 2 years!

Gah….Lord, I commit this 2 years into Your hands. I am at your mercy.

Please readerss….continue to pray for me.

What I need now are your precious prayers.

Please pray for my safety and also for my health.

Hello readers!

This post has been quite long in coming.

So many things have happened since my very last post. What was the date of the last post…June something?

Sorry man! I was busy and procrastinate sometimes in typing out a post to keep everyone updated on what I was doing.

Ok let’s start with what happened the last 3 weeks.

Firstly, I have finally leave ITE College East as of last week!

Amazing huh….I has stayed longer than anyone else in my cohort.

My last class with the Higher NITEC was like about 3 weeks ago and my last class with the NITEC was just last week.

We took some photos so here you go:

This is the Higher NITEC class, the 3^rd generation of K Class; I was from the first LOL.

Susan, my previous Premiere Pro lecturer is also in the picture.

This is the NITEC class going for their internship in July. They have to take night classes in order to go for their internship and it is a very stressful class LOL.

The lecturer who happens to be from the nearby IBM, Kelvin, is also in the picture.

There you go, this are primarily the 2 classes that I help out in. The other is the L class from Higher NITEC but I was replaced by Andrew about 1 month before term break so I did not have a change to take a picture with them.

Man…time do flies. Now I am officially no longer a staff or a student in ITE College East anymore. These 2+ years has been real amazing, meeting cool and weird people from both lecturers and students.

Man I’ll never forget what happen this 2 years.

Truly I never know what God always has in plan when I failed my O Levels back in 2003 and 2004…but after this 2 years my faith and believe in Him has come out stronger than ever before.

It was a blessing in disguise as I got to know many good pals and lecturers back in ITE College East, truly you guys rocks!

Hope we will sill keep in contact 10 years down the road, LOL.

As I officially aren’t a student or staff anymore, I had more free time on hand so last Saturday, which was the 30^th June, me and a few of the team members from Splash went down to Sentosa for a relaxing day.

What we didn’t expect was that the lecturers that were in ITE College East were there too!

It seems like they were having a chalet and came to the beach (which was where we were) for some fun on the sand. The lecturers and some of the Splash members team up to versus another anonymous teenage team that challenged them to a soccer match.

Well, as you can guess it, we TRASH them man!

Sigh…2 years of my life is going to be own by the government. Man…many things can happen during 2 years man.

I wondered how the gaming industry will be like after 2 years.

I wondered how everyone will be like after 2 years.

I wondered whether I’m able to go to my dream course in poly after 2 years.

I wondered what new exciting development will happen in the tech world after 2 years.

Pretty lots of wondering huh?

Well…please pray for me to have a safe and fruitful time in the army yeah?

Good evening guys!

The past few days have been really crazy man.

What you are seeing right now is the first post after I had finally recovered my PC, but still unsure whether it is stable.

As you have saw from my last post the problems that I had, it actually resurfaced!

This time, much worse in fact.

In the beginning it was just another blue screen that came up when I booted the PC. However, the frequency of it popping up increases to the point where I cannot remain in the desktop for more than 1 minute before the blue screen came up again and auto restart my PC.

So having my data on another partition (I actually have 6 partition including the hard disk that I disconnect in my previous post, they are C,D,E,F and J), I pop in the Windows XP CD to reformat my drive and reinstall my OS.

To my surprise, there was a very strange problem that arises.

My other partition, the J partition, actually became UNPARTITIONED!

I was….huh?

Thinking it was nothing; I delete my C, formatted and installed my OS on it, thinking that it was some miscellaneous error that my J ended up like that and it would be solved once I got my OS up and running.

To my extreme horror, not only did it still remain un-partition, it was corrupted and unreadable once I tried to access it!

OH MY GOD!

My video project that I showed you guys a few posts ago was on that freaking partition!

In desperation, I tried everything I could to be able to access it, except formatting, but I still couldn’t access it!

DAMN!

Plus the blue screen still was hanging around, causing my PC to be extremely unstable.

I was like….what the hell……….this new graphics card sure cause some considerable damaged to my system man.

So with a heavy heart (because I just bought a new game, Neverwinter Nights Diamond which was an ass-kicking game) that I am unable to do my work or even play my new game, I went out with Eric Li for he invited me to a concert that his church, New Creation, has organized, that was, yesterday yeah.

I was late for I was doing one last format to solve the problem so we ended up missing the first part of the concert.

New Creation had invited Planet Shakers (some Christian rock band from Australia) and their church was having an outreach so I went there just to enjoy the concert.

After the praises and worship, New Creation’s pastor Joseph Price came to share the Word.

My heart was empowered and comforted by the Lord right there again after the earlier desperation.

THANK YOU LORD! I can do all things through Christ who is in me!

So having a feeling that everything is solvable because God created everything and indeed He created everything, Eric Li and I left after the whole session ended. Well almost, LOL.

We decided to walk to my school, ITE College East for the concert was held at Expo’s The Max Pavilion.

We chatted and shared many things and catch up on each other’s life since the last time we met back in school.

Eric Li, I hope you will succeed one day man!

Was walking and thinking whether to enter the school and wondering whether the security guard will stop me because it was like….9.30pm when I saw a familiar face in front of my school’s bus stop.

It was PREETHI! My class advisor…eh should I say my colleague now lol.

3 of us chatted for awhile before I realized that I should really get going because it’s getting real late man.

I boarded the bus shortly after 11pm and thank God I manage to catch a bus home despite the time!

I met my junior from ITE, Boon Leng, who happened to be boarding the same bus with me as well.

During the journey home, God prompted me to ask him about my PC situation and I thank Him for putting me in this situation to ask an expert on hardware.

THANK YOU LORD!!!!

Boon Leng shared a lot of information with me and with those understanding, I woke up today and eagerly tried to solve my PC problems.

So well what do you know, after some tests today, my PC seems to have stopped popping up blue screens after I had followed what Boon Leng has suggested.

I do not know whether my PC is stable or when the blue screen will pop up again.

I can only take precautionary measures and pray to Him.

So Christians please pray for me too yeah.

I’m going to sleep now because I need to wake up early tomorrow for service, will post something again perhaps tomorrow.

Good evening guys!

Man, you wouldn’t believe what happened this past 3 days.

When I got back from work on Tuesday night, my PC monitor wasn’t responding even though my CPU is running fine. As I was too tired after work, I thank God for the early rest and tuck myself into bed.

After work on Wednesday, I eagerly rush back to solve the mysterious problem that had befall on my computer.

After some assumptions, I think my graphics card is spoiled. Bingo. I’ve hit the jackpot after I borrowed another graphics card from Timothy to test my assumptions.

Thank God I manage to negotiate some cash from my mum to buy a new graphics card and also possibly a new power supply for my new power-hungry card.

This is the first time I manage to get such a huge amount from my mother, praise the Lord, possibly could be due to it being a loan therefore she gave it to me, LOL!

But I believe otherwise that God is good at opening up ways for us, yeah.

So happily to Sim Lim Square I went on early Thursday afternoon, after deciding on what card I wanted to buy the previous night.

After selecting the card, I asked whether a 300W is enough to power the new card but the technician said no and directed me to a wide range of power supply unit (PSU) at the other part of the shop. Oh yes in case you want some shops for recommendation at Sim Lim Square (SLS), go to the ones called Fuwell and Bell, the guys there are quite friendly and professional.

However…….I wasn’t sure whether the PSU is able to fit into my HP casing so I opted to buy just the card first and test whether it works on my 300W PSU.

Once I reached home….a weird problem came up.

After placing the new card into my CPU, everything is running but still no display on the monitor. So I thought maybe there wasn’t enough power so I call it a day and plan what PSU to buy today.

Man…it is so unbearable not to have a computer man. Especially for an IT guy like me…I feel a little….uneasy.

When I wanted to learn something, it’s on the computer.

When I wanted to watch some anime or shows…it’s on the computer.

When I wanted to chat with somebody…………………………it’s on the computer.

When I just want to read something……………………………………..IT’S ON THE COMPUTER!

DAMN!

I am so crippled without it!

Finally I turned to written materials.

The Bible and my church’s magazine gave my heart some peace and serenity at my dire situation, thank God for His Word man.

Thank God thank God thank God!

This few days without computer has re-instilled in me patience man. Patience and waiting upon Him.

Also my hand that has been seriously overworked for the past 1 and a half year finally has some decent rest, thank God it did not developed into Repetitive Strain Injury, a common problem among us armchair warriors LOL.

So finally came early Friday afternoon, which is today.

I went down to purchase my 480W power supply and came back quickly, wanting so much to use the PC again.

To my horror, the display didn’t show up again.

WHHHHHHHHHHHHY?!?

I called Timothy and he told me to bring the graphics card over to test on his computer which I did and we both found out, Fuwell gave me a faulty card!!!!

MANNNNN I have to go down SLS again!!!!

After much traveling and waiting, I got my card changed.

This time, I went back EXTREMLY quickly and pop the card in.

Voila it works!

However….it was stuck on the boot screen….and I was like….huh?

After much test again, I found out the problem lies with my old hard disk.

Some of the gold pin connectors were bended and went into the hard disk itself….mannnnnnn!

I reluctantly disconnect the hard disk, unable to access the data that was inside. One day, I’ll get some professional to extract the data from the plates that made up the hard disk and I’ll get it back!

Sigh, anyway I power up the PC and got into Windows, updated everything and finally came online.

Feeling a little excited at the power of my new graphics card, I took out one of the latest game that I had, Need for Speed: Carbon, which was a graphically intense game that my old graphics card choked when there was too much activity on the screen.

Loading was EXTREMLY fast with the old very tone down settings that I set for my old graphics card. I immediately set EVERYTHING to the max and oh my God it ran so smoothly and beautifully!

Truly it was worth the money!

Thank God for teaching my patience man, otherwise I think I would have gone bonkers a long time ago.

I took care of Sleepy today….man it was so tiring.

My dog is such a hyperactive one. But thank God she’s asleep now LOL.

Good evening!

It’s been some time since I last updated.

Well here I am telling you what has happened since my last post.

My younger sister 2 weeks ago brought back a black cross breed dog! CUTE SIAAAAA!

I think it’s a Jack Russell cross breed but when I ask the veterinarian, she told me it is impossible to determine it because in Singapore cross breed are mixed like crazy, LOL.

Well anyway my sister called the dog ‘Sleepy’ cause the initial first few days in the house, she is always sleeping. Oh yeah it’s a ‘she’ and she’s a stray, but she’s very cute therefore my sister brought her home.

My mom and I took Sleepy to the vet today to get her vaccination shots. My sister bought a bag to contain her but she outgrown it so we decided to hail the taxi and see whether any kind driver willingly allow Sleepy to go into the car like this.

Sad to say…none of the taxi drivers are kind at all.

I had to borrow the dog cage from my neighbor, who also had a very cute dog called ‘Jingle’, to contain Sleepy and to bring her onto the taxi.

The taxi driver did not like the smell and therefore open the windows to ventilate the car….man at least Sleepy smells better than those damn cigarettes that taxi drivers like to smoke. -.-||

When we reach the vet, all eyes were upon Sleepy and us and I fell reaaaaaaaaaaal embarrassed cause those eyes that were staring at us belongs to pretty girls that also rear dogs. They were commenting on how cute Sleepy was and I did not dare to look at them because they were too pretty!

I weigh Sleepy and finally our turn came. We went in and had quite a long conversation with the vet, who educates us on some stuff concerning rearing dogs.

Once the consultation was over, I brought Sleepy outside to pee and shit.

After she did her business, I brought her back to the pavement for she did it on the grass and would you believe it, I saw a HUGE pile of dog shit which I did not realized when I stood on the grass patch and I ALMOST step onto it!

HALLELUYAH PRAISE THE LORD!

He is always watching out for us Amen!

Once my mom was done paying the consultation and medicine fees, I proceed to hail a taxi back home, but my mum stopped me and told me to go to the nearby pet shop to purchase some items for Sleepy.

And would you believe it, the pet shop’s sales assistant was another pretty girl!

My Goddddddddddddddddddddddd! Are all pet lovers so pretty and elegant looking?!?!

My mom seems to know her and discuss with the sales assistant on what items to purchase while I observe the lady. It seems that all pet lovers had a special trait, which is that they are extremely patient people.

Even the vet was very very patient in educating us, who never had a dog before, on how to take care of Sleepy.

Truly amazing.

Once my mum decides on the items to purchase, the sales assistant even gave her a discount man. She also gave my mum a free booklet about pets too.

Soooo nice!

Leaving the shop, we hail a taxi and got back home, where I place Sleepy at her spot while I changed.

After this morning, I noticed one thing. Pet lovers treat their pets like their very precious, giving full care and attention to them. Also they purchase good items for them too man.

Wow.

I pray that I can develop that kind of attitude and applied it to humans too, of course treating them with the utmost respect and importance that the Lord would expect of me.

By the way, last Wednesday, on the 30^th of May, I accompanied my mum to the opening night of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.

SURPRISED that I, a Christian, visit such places?

Well it’s just a visit to a grand temple that’s all. Paul in the Bible mixes around with the people of his days and they were non-believers. So I see no harm in visiting.

It was JAM PACKED with local people and foreigners. I cannot see the performance that was held to celebrate the opening therefore my mum and I went to the back to watch everything projected onto a slide.

Even president Nathan came to commemorate the opening.

Oh wow.

The actual opening for the public was at 11pm, but I had to go for Emerge the next morning, so my mum and I left slightly after 9.30pm.

Oh yes on last Thursday to Sunday, my church had this fabulous and great conference called Emerge.

It is an annual conference for the youths and the purpose of it is to strengthen and inspire the youths in our church.

Well I can say that during the Emerge, I had so much game ideas pouring into me every second man. My hands are not even fast enough to take down the humongous pouring of inspiration from the Holy Spirit man!

Finally, yesterday, 3^rd June 2007, was my 21^st birthday!

Praise the Lord I am finally a full fledge adult right now!

R21 movies, here I come LOL!

Kidding aside, it is a miracle that I am already 21.

It had been a real long time coming but God is good Amen.

These past few years have been from glory to glory and what the Lord had promised He had always been faithful.

So what is my wish?

Well…there is quite a few but the most urgent wish that I have is that I wish and pray to the Lord that I can make a game that is worthy of His Name.

Man you don’t understand how much I love games and want to make them.

Had a pizza fest courtesy of my parents, which spent quite a lot on the 6 pizzas that I ordered LOL.

Also, late yesterday night, Gabriel, my long time buddy presented to me Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne, as a birthday gift from him and my church friends!

OH MY GOD!!!! And I sooooooooooo wanted to get that game!

I brought my mum along and I am sorry that you have to stand most of the time while traveling to my school.

Met Fadli in the bus and together we went to Café 1 to find the others who were eating.

To my surprise, all those that were supposed to be eating were LATE! -.-||

Once everyone has arrived, we went up to the auditorium for registration and it was real crowded man!

Miss Preethi, our Class Advisor, was there to congratulate us on our graduation. I didn’t have a chance to pop to her about the chalet.

Man I have been asking her about the class chalet for 2 whole months and yet she still have not given me a reply.

Damn!

My mum was been directed to level 5 to sit with the other parents and for the graduates, level 3.

The ceremony started and some videos were being shown.

The videos were about mostly the pioneers of students that were sited in the hall, including us.

Sad to say, the videos about those in SICT were not as good as those from other schools.

The Principal gave a short speech and was followed by giving out of certificates by each school’s respective Directors.

When my turn arrived, the director talk to me a little and as I look down to position myself and to hold the certificate, the camera snapped and when I collect the photo much later, I was caught looking downwards. -.-||

After my whole class as collected the certificate, which was actually in fact the holder, we got a little bored and started taking pictures. Gabriel, our ex-lecturer also came and joins in the session LOL.

It was great fun taking pictures with everybody. Even Cindy, my ex-life skills teacher and colleague, came and took some with us. Oh yeah she also passed me the school newsletter which I wrote a small article about the Splash competition. After browsing through the newsletter, I saw her name as the editor on the front page!

WOW!

Congratulations for being the editor Cindy!

After the ceremony, most of us went to catch the new Pirates of the Caribbean. Quite a good show but I did not watch the previous one so I was a little lost. The show is darn long and I started to have backache man.

Once the movie ends, all of us went our separate ways.

It was quite good to see everybody again.

Those that went poly, started work, waiting for NS or slacking at home, it was good to know everybody is well.

I’m glad that everybody has move on man. Congratulations to those that are in poly now. Work hard ah!

Also to the rest that are not in poly, it is good that I’ve know you, continue on with whatever you’re doing man.

Hello guys!

Yeah it’s kind of late right now but I just got the urge to post something so here I am typing it out!

Just last week my brother gave me an advanced birthday gift! To my surprised, it was the highly acclaimed game Warcraft 3!

What a good and great brother I have!

I love that little guy man!

Thank you Lord for blessing me with such a brother and such a gift!

I know it’s old and you probably played it to death already, but I did not even touch the game till my brother bought it.

My PC was unable to play 3D games back then (ah…those dark days…lol) so I pass it on. Never will I know I would be blessed 5 years later. Yes you saw it right; this game was launched back in 2002!

Here is the box which I took:

I was really amazed at the game play and the different races in the game. The concept of the game is almost similar to Starcraft, another game by the same maker that I played many years ago.

Blizzard, the maker, is truly a genius when it comes to games. Now I finally understood why World of Warcraft is such a juggernaut in the MMORPG arena. Because it is just too damn fun!

I really hope that I can learn why Blizzard has done and apply it in my future games and company. Truly they started from being nobodies to somebody today.

I went to school today to help out Alvin’s team for Java Jive.

I help to shoot some videos for their presentation and was pleasantly surprised to see some of my students in the opposite room. I found out they were there for the Bridge Leader interview, some kind of leading club in ITE College East. Interesting.

I had a really fun time with them while shooting the video, many laughing and jokes being exchanged lol.

Oh yeah Alvin recently introduced to me an old PC game called Dragonshard.

I installed it on one of the PC in Sun COT and it was a freaking blast to play!

It is a mixed of RPG and RTS with the Dungeon and Dragons’ universe and story slapped onto it. As I am typing and recalling the game right now, I am suffering from sever cold turkey from not playing the game!

MAN!!!!! I have to wait for my salary to arrive before I am able to purchase it mannnnnn!

Pay day please come quickly man!

Good evening guys!

Yeah I’m here with another post again.

School has been great so far but I still struggle a little sometime in answering the students’ questions.

Cause I’ve slack a little too much and forgotten some stuff.

But it’s ok, I’ll work hard man!

I read and watch everything to do with GTO and was inspired to become a teacher once….yeah just once and doing part time only to see how it works and God literally took that seriously and gave me a chance, which is right now.

Amazing eh?

The method he uses to teach students are very controversial and really challenges the usual education system, but the system really needs to be challenged to reform as it is rotting from the inside out.

Man once you watch it you will get inspired to be a teacher man!

My life back in primary and secondary school wasn’t that enjoyable…so I can understand what the characters in GTO is experiencing…real touching.

If only I had a teacher like that…well it’s ok it’s over now.

I’m very inspired to want to reach out to the students like he does and make school fun, regardless of how bad their past experiences in school is and regardless of their background.

Interesting…who knows this might turn into a full time job in the future…LOL.

I’ve just finished watching this anime series called Elfen Lied.

It’s an anime certainly not for the faint of hearts and even not for kids.

It’s a little disturbing due to the blood and gore and also occurring theme in the series: abuse.

It is also heavily filled with nudity scenes.

However despite all those…unhealthy stuff, it is a very touching show.

All those girls in the show…they were seriously hurt from bad past experiences man.

The people that hurt them, sometimes I wondered whether the antagonist has a human conscience at all to carry out those acts.

Those girls that were hurt in the show…I can understand why they did all those things; nobody is born for revenge and hurt but was affected by past experiences.

Another thing would be…how you react to it. You can either react positively or negatively.

Unfortunately…most of them react negatively to it.

It’s sad…that they did not know Jesus and the joy He gave freely.

Otherwise, I guess there wouldn’t be so much hurt and pain in the world.

The plot overall for Elfen Lied is good but the ending is a bit….eh….open, as usual cause they might want to make a sequel for it lol.

The ending song is nice so I’m including it together with this post.

I prayed that those who are in hurt and pain please give others that wants to help a chance to help you….and never think of suicide.

I also pray that all of you reading this…show kindness to everyone you meet; you’ll never know it might just brighten the person up. =)

My C++…well…it’s still in the process, desperately doing my best so that I can learn how to program games and use all those C++ libraries.

Please pray for me and also pray for those who are in hurt and pain to come to Jesus.

Good evening readers!

It’s been like….almost a month since I last posted anything?!?

Sorry man! I was kind of busy…and in some case…a little lazy to type out a post.

Since today’s a public holiday, I shall update you a little on my life.

I have officially graduated from ITE College East as of 15^th April 2007!!!

I received my final GPA on that day and statement of result a few days later. It was a tough semester but I finally made it!

Whew this 2 years spent in ITE was fruitful and blessed.

Learning many new things and excelling in areas unimaginable. Truly God is great!

However…due to NS, I am unable to obtain a deferment anymore, as I used up all of it last time when I retook my O Levels.

It’s a little sad seeing my friends going to poly and furthering their studies while I have to wait another 2-3 years before I enter.

Well…it’s a little blessing in disguise anyway lol.

I have time to prepare my port folio which consists of some games that I am going to program to show to whoever’s in charge of the course that I want to go.

Yes…you read it right…port folio man.

The course that I want to enter (Digital Entertainment Technology) does not allow ITE students to enter just by applying; you need to show them a port folio of your work!

Man…sucks yeah.

But it’s ok; I’ll explore and learn things on my own.

So these 2 months I’ve been like exploring C++ and Java languages, game libraries, game tutorials, game programming forums and keeping a close eye on the game industry.

There are quite a lot of cool happenings in the game industry this last 2 months.

One of the sad things is that the ‘Father’ of Playstation, Ken Kutaragi is retiring. I do not know the exact details but it seems like he was backstabbed in his own company. Can you believe it man.

If it wasn’t for his invention, the Playstation, I would not be even thinking of joining the game industry and working so hard right now to create a port folio.

Alright now back to what I am currently doing. Well, after being at home for a month and doing my port folio, I’ve gotten a part time job back at the ITE where I graduated! I’ll be assisting the teachers in lessons man!

I’ll be helping out in Multimedia Essentials in the day and IT Essentials in the night. I’ll be helping out both Higher NITEC and NITEC classes man!

Sooooo cool! Not only will I get paid, I get to refresh and remember what I learned previously!

Oh yes I just received a letter not long from CMPB.

I’ve finally been enlisted into the army.

After 20 odd years of waiting, the day has finally arrived!

Ever since I was a kid reading about NS and the likes, I’ve been wondering when the time will come and in the blink of an eye, the day arrives.

I’ll be entering on the 13^th July, a Friday the 13^th yes, into the 41^st Singapore Armoured Regiment.

Some of my friends from ITE are entering too, so thank God at least I have some familiar faces in the army with me.

The future is amazing huh. You never know what will happen next.

Only God knows and He directs your every steps.

I want to see more of God in my life as I continue to move in this thing called time. I do not know what will happen but I’m going to stick around Him, regardless of circumstances.

So Christian readers, I’ll pray for your walk with Him and you pray for me too yeah?

Hello guys!

Sorry for the lack of updates but I’ve been a little busy this past few days since my last post.

I just came back from a steam boat dinner at Marina Bay with my classmates from PI0504X and it was a blast, although everyone ended it early because everyone was too full to continue.

We went to the Super Bowl nearby and I watched some of my classmates duke it out in bowling! It was funny and exciting to watch, for the winner of the night happens to be Ching Seang, with the high score of 147 while the last person of the night was Jebson with the score of…37, LOL!

After that we went to the nearby arcade and had a blast playing those games man! It was real exciting to watch them race against each other in Daytona, with every tricks they can muster and throw at each other!

After all playing ended, it was only like 9.30pm as we left the place to board the bus back to Marina Bay MRT station.

Some of us went home while some went to Dhoby Gaut for some coffee. I was one of those that went home.

So here I am typing out this post for you curious readers out there.

I’ve been like basically watching animes and studying topics relevant to my portfolio creation (Stuff like Java).

I’ve just finished Mai-Hime, a 26 episodes show about this girl Mai, who went to this academy on scholarship with her brother Takumi. There were funny scenes and some real touching moments. But a great deal of the anime that left an impression in my head till this day (yes till this day) was the sense of loss in the later episode. It was so sad and troubling when I watch what happen to the characters in the show. My heart couldn’t get over the sense of loss for quite a few days even after I’ve finished the show, as my mind continues to think about the characters and the events they went through.

It’s amazing how the power of storytelling can leave such a lasting impression on an individual.

Man, storytelling sure is a powerful tool to illustrate an event, especially in animes. Those Japanese are REALLY creative people man.

Every anime that I’ve watch also gives me a good and lasting impression.

Oh God…I pray that we would be like the Japanese, always creative and passionate in their work.

I pray Lord, that I would be able to utilize this tool, storytelling & anime, to show Your story to the world!

Anyway I’m not going to spoil how the show ended for those of you if you’re going to take a peek. =)

Good evening!

Wow time sure flies quickly when you’re busy with something!

It has already been the 6^th day since my last day of school. I’ve been catching up on what I’ve missed and what I wanted to do ever since I’ve dive myself into completing my projects and test for the last 2 months.

Also…I’ve been fixing up on things I’ve kind of neglected since I’ve been busy, lol.

Read up on lots of game development stuff and on games in the market and my desire to make one just grow tremendously. But…sad to say…I need more time.

So what I’ve been doing these past few days was to obtain and read up on both Java and C++.

Surprised that I’m reading Java?

Yeah well even though I have experience in it there are still some stuff I have not really grasp hold of and I’ve forgotten on some topics, so I’m revising through and learning new concepts that can be used in my future game development.

Have not really started revising C++ so far, just only obtained the tutorials from my church friend Israel so far.

I’ve been thinking, how long more do I have to read and apply myself before I can truly make a game? I have so much stories, worlds, characters, graphics, game play and ideas in my head and on Word documents dying to see it coming to ‘life’ on the screen man.

Sigh, Lord only you know when. I can only prepare and trust in You.

All work and no play…makes Eric a very, yes very, dull boy.

So besides honing, revising and learning my skills, I’ve also played games and watch animes that I’ve missed ever since I was busy over school!

I think I watch more animes than playing games this past few days lol.

I was initially finishing up on Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2^nd Gig, and after completing it I watch the movie Solid State Society.

Feeling anime-less after finishing the latest Ghost In The Shell animes, I did not know what to watch but after looking through at the animes that I have downloaded and still yet to watch, I decided to watch the latest anime I’ve downloaded, entitled Ghost Hunt.

The name of it shows that the topic it deals with in the show must be related to the paranormal and I was right after watching the first episode.

What I can tell you is that the series is very spooky and tense, like a true horror show. It surprised me for the level of tension I was in when I watch the show and also the amount of hair standing on my body when something frightening or scary is coming up.

Overall the stories are good and the characters are quite interesting, so I recommend it if you want a good scare.

Feeling real energized in watching anime, I went to my usual anime source, http://www.anime-source.com/ , to check up on new anime reviews and I discovered a whole lot of them!

My fingers immediately flew to the various URLs which I can obtain them and currently , I am waiting for 5 different series to be ready for viewing.

I can’t wait man!

This is the synopsis:

Farhan never knew his life would change forever after he joined the police force right after quitting secondary school. Send to infiltrate Naser’s triads in Singapore as an undercover and bring him to justice by police inspector Eric. Unknowingly to both Farhan and Eric, Naser has also sent an undercover, Fadli, to the police force to gather information on police activities.

Their lives became increasingly under danger when both organization discovered that there is a mole within them.

Now the race is on to discover the mole in this thriller loosely based and spoofed on Infernal Affairs & The Departed.

I’m sorry for the low quality cause I have to compress and cut a 3.45GB video clip into 3 clips not more than 100MB each.

Looking back at this video clip, we sure do have a hard time filming it and doing post productions. But it was well worth the effort, despite some very obvious flaw due to our amateurish skills LOL.

I like to thank God for giving me this chance to produce it and have a very wonderful team that did this project together. Thanks also go to those extras that appeared in the show and to the teachers that gave us suggestions and ideas.

Good afternoon readers!

The weather today is so clear and sunny! It is during this good weather that I decide to type this post out. My last day in school officially ended on Thursday, 8^th March 2007, finally Halleluyah!

It has been pretty hair-raising for the last 2 weeks of school man.

The last few important tests and project submission caused me to have some serious lack of sleep, like for example I stayed till 3.30am to finish editing my video project.

I don’t know why ITE likes to cramp everything at the last moment to get the stress and tension level really up high, but I guess that’s to prepare us for the real hell when we’re at work.

But thank God, I finally breath an air of relieve at 4+pm on Thursday, as I submit my final project. And yes, it’s FINAL!

As I leave the school with my friends Farhan, Naser and Fadli, I shook hands with my lecturer, Gabriel for quite possibly the last time as he is leaving ITE for better opportunities. We wished each other all the best and I did my usual salute to him for the last time, LOL.

I looked back at the classroom for one last time, remembering the days I spend in it. This might probably be the last time I will see an ITE classroom.

We walk slowly to the lift, savoring every last bit of experience we have in ITE. We entered the lift and as we left, we talked about old times, saying how we’ll miss the place when we’re gone.

As we board out bus on the way back, I took 1 last look at ITE College East as the bus drove pass.

The sight of it gradually fades away as I think about the times I had there.

Everything in school seems like yesterday.

It really seems like yesterday was the first day I stepped into school. It seems like yesterday I was doing all those activities that I undertook in school.

It’s amazing how fast 2 years or even time flies when you’re busy engaging in something. As we go from classes to classes and projects to projects we never notice the end coming until finally, the last day of school.

I thank God for putting me into ITE. I’ll never forget it is the place where all my skills are being trained.

All my skills, leadership, IT and soft skills, are all learn and put to the test each day. I’ll never forget the lecturers that taught me and gave me advices in those various fields.

Thank you all man!

Also, not forgetting my classmates and schoolmates, thank you guys! Without you guys, life in ITE will definitely get real dull.

All the times that we spent together, I’ve learn many things and I thank you guys for the time being together.

Good evening!

As today comes to a close, it also marks the end of the second day of Chinese New Year. Visitations were little for the day but thank God they were interesting and I wasn’t bored.

I have a very intelligent nephew and here is his photo below:

He does not understand Mandarin but once I use English, he is capable of comprehending what I said!

If it wasn’t for his undeveloped ability to speak like an adult due to his young age, I believe he would be able to converse with me easily man!

Amazing how smart kids are these days.

Oh yes the place that he stays at is quite high up, 25 storey in fact. You can see miles away from the windows!

I stopped all visitations at 5.30pm and catch a movie with my old time pals, Freddy, James and Sher Liat. As I left the place of my last visitation which was in my old hometown Ang Mo Kio, I pass by the flat that I used to live in…it has been…17 years since I left?

Time flies. I cannot recall what I did there except for the photos that my parents took.

The good cheerful carefree days of old are over, sad to say. The only thing I can do is continue to push forward and fight.

We watch the show entitled ‘Epic Movie’…which was funny for the first 5 minutes.

Man they were so lame that I find it difficult to laugh. The ways the movie spoofs other well known show receive applaud from me but the overall plot line was lame. I think Scary Movie was better!

I give it a 3/10 rating man. 3 for how closely it mimics the other shows and spoofs it, that’s all. There were even times that I can see the extras’ faces clearly while replacing the main actors when doing stunts! Terrible man!

As I got home, I went down again to buy Macdonald’s for my family’s dinner. I was so full and a little sick from eating all those food during visitations that I felt a little withdrawn from eating. But thank God I bought some spicy burger meal from Macdonald’s to satisfy my stomach.

I just want to have a quick meal and get on with my research and work.

After dinner, I dived into the Internet after watching Ghost in the Shell, Stand Alone Complex 2^nd Gig.

It gave me a lot of inspiration for my game’s plotlines and also for creating a new novel. This prompted me to look for information and the sub information related to it.

Praise the Lord for the Internet! Truly it is a heaven-send tool to mankind!

Whatever you need to find and know, it’s all there!

I found what I need to know and even more and even as I type out this post, I am still finding new sub information related to it.

Good evening readers!

Happy Chinese New Year! The first day of Chinese New Year is ending soon as I type out this post and visitations for today are finally over.

Praise the Lord for today!

I’ve collected lots of red packets but had no time to check it out as I immediately check out the latest updates in the tech world once I reach home lol.

This year there was lots of new addition to my extended families, namely babies!

My God, there were so many babies born from both my mom and dad’s extended families that I am going blur.

Here is one of them that I took with my phone’s camera:

Also, I went to my God-brother’s place, which used to be my God-mother’s but bought by him. I use to go there during Chinese New Year and family events but have not since my God-mother shifted to Punggol.

Well we went there today and I almost couldn’t recognize the place! Firstly, this car park that you see in the picture below, use to be just a ground floor car park. Also the two flats behind it weren’t there at all.

The government made so much upgrades that I really cannot recall anything from my childhood days.

Sad man…I wonder if I head overseas to work for a few years will I be able to even recognize Singapore…never mind I’ll ponder on that another time.

Also, I’ve found out a few things during Chinese New Year:

People remember bad things easily than good ones.
People get tired easily.
There is no place to seat.
People forget grudges from the past during Chinese New Year.
Spending of cash is more freely during Chinese New Year.
People are crazy about 4D during Chinese New Year.

Hello readers,

Wow it's already 2007! I'm sorry that I have not being updating for some time. I have so many things to do yet so little time!

As I type this post out on my mobile phone, yes my shiny new Pocket PC phone, at a foodcourt while waiting for my food to arrive,I can't help but to think that so much has happened in 2006 and in between my last post. 2006 has truly been a great blessing from the Lord and also His presence has been ever more real to me. Truly in times of trial and tribulations, when you cried out to Him, He never fails to answer.

He is good all the time Amen.

2006 is the year which I participated in so many competition that I never done before in my entire life. From small to big I’ve participated in all and thanks to the Lord, I’ve managed to come out stronger and wiser.

Also many screw up occurred last year and also beginning of this year and I would like to thank those that have given me the chance for correction. Thank you to you guys out there.

As I continue to wait for my food at the foodcourt near Macdonald's in Ang Mo Kio Central,I can't help but marvel at the immerse changes that has occurred here.

So much colour and life! Even the seat I'm seated at, I wondered how people from all ages has sat on it.

I was born in Ang Mo Kio and lived here during the early years of my life before I moved to Yishun. Most of my relatives also lived in Ang Mo Kio and some still remain there till this day.

Oh yes today’s Chinese New Year Eve! Here I am in Ang Mo Kio doing some last minute shopping. LOL I am a late shopper.

I just bought my Converse shoes using the vouchers I won in Innovate IT, a competition I participated at SMU last year. You saw that Olivia on the Channel 5 Infocomm show? She was the chairman for the competition I participated lol.

Coming to 2007 also signal the end of my ITE education. As I type out this post today, I’m 3 weeks away from graduating.

2 years flew real fast. It seems just like yesterday that I stepped into ITE, determined to enter polytechnic after I graduate. So here I am, 2 years later, my dreams almost coming true. ALMOST.

The course that I want to get into, Digital Entertainment Technology, also known as DET in NYP, is an extremely difficult course to get in with very few intakes each year.

What’s so special about this course is that you are taught how to make games. Yes you saw correctly, GAMES.

Ever since young I’ve almost been day dreaming, yes even till today lol.

I’ve been day dreaming of alternate realities, what if scenarios, crazy ideas and people.

When I played my first computer game, Incubation, I’ve decided to enter into the gaming industry and have never looked back since.

Games can bring all my crazy ideas, people and world to life in a realistic yet safe manner!

All these time I’ve been preparing and learning about the various skills needed to enter this industry and praise the Lord this game programming course started!

I’ve decided to use my final GPA to see whether I am able to enter which if unsuccessful, I am going to spent the next 2 years in NS to create a portfolio of games to enter this course.

I seriously do not know where and what will happen after I graduate. I have plans but I really do not know whether they will succeed.

It’s real frustrating…not knowing what will happen.

God please teach me and guide me during this period.

I wonder after my NS, if I couldn’t secure a place this time, whether I stand a high chance to enter man.

Never mind I shall not dwell on it now and continue to push forward.

Alright on to the next topic!

This week my team for my video production module started filming our video, with the theme ‘A Teenage Life’.

However, we have a twist to it all. I’m not going to tell you what is it but once it’s done I’ll post it on YouTube for all you guys to see.

So stay tune for it lol.

Oh yes since yesterday I’ve started playing this game called Audition!

My classmate Jasmine introduced it to me and another classmate, Farhan, is also playing it so out of curiosity I downloaded it to have fun and understand the idea and game concept.

It’s kind of like DDR except that it’s online and you’re playing with many other real people at once. The graphics are also better too.

Most importantly, it’s FUN! I can’t stop playing it man, if you play that game, whisper to my nickname at ShiJie.

Good evening everyone!
Man today was such a fun day! I organized a LAN outing with my classmates from PI0504X!
There were about 15 of us, including girls. Yes you saw that right, girls came along too lol.
All of us played Battlefield 2 man!
Let me tell you this, Battlefield 2 is soooooo freaking real! It simulates exactly how an actual war is fought man!
We played urban area maps, so it’s quite often that we ran into the opposition team.
There were so many classes and vehicles to choose from! I basically just use the Assault and Special Forces class, but nearing the middle and end of the game, I just stick with the Assault class, due to the grenade launcher mounted underneath my gun.
I use that to shoot at vehicles and for once, I use it against a low flying helicopter piloted by some pilot that seems to have no license…and that helicopter eventually crash lol.
My team cleared the first map after much difficulty, as the capture points to win the map was spaced out quite far apart and the opposition constantly recapture those points that we have taken over.
But we won eventually lol.
The second map that we played was even cooler man!
My pal Timothy pilot a fast moving helicopter and I jumped in as a gunner!
Both he and I basically rule the sky!
Whatever thing that moves on the ground and up in the air was taken down by either me or Timothy.
I wasn’t very good in using the TV guided missile mounted on the helicopter and it was quite hilarious looking at the way I use it, for I keep missing the target once I fire it.
There were even times when the missile was like a few meters of hitting the target and I totally missed it lol.
Timothy and I never once died in the helicopter, except for some moments when he accidentally knock into a tree or couldn’t pull up the aircraft from the ground in time lol.
The second map was a bit frantic as 2 of us were guarding the air and the rest of my team members were on the ground, trying to hold off a huge army. The opposition captured all the points and my team was only left our home base and was in constant threat of being taken over.
But eventually we manage to recapture some points and also defended the home base fiercely, thus scoring lots of points in the process.
However my team were eventually overrun and left again with our home base. Timothy and I tried again to recapture those points using the helicopter but were fruitless.
But praise the Lord; we won in the end for the opposition just couldn’t conquer our home base!
We switched to playing Counterstrike but it was quite mundane and not that exciting after we had a taste of Battlefield 2 lol.
We ended the whole LAN outing by 6pm and started to go our separate ways.
Truly God is good, for He grant me this time to be able to have LAN gaming with my classmates.
But the sad thing is….this might be the final LAN outing for the class…as each of out busy schedule might leaves us with little time.
But I believed that we would have 1 final one before we graduate guys!
I sincerely pray that God will give me a chance to organize another LAN outing before April, the month that we graduate.

Hello all,
Today has been a very interesting day. I woke up around 6am to head down school to try out our adventure tower. You know, the kind that has rope obstacles, abseiling, rock climbing etc.
The adventure tower, looking from the ground up seems small…but once you’re up there, you’re on the same leverage as the MRT line opposite my school!
And the adventure tower was FUN MAN!
Sadly, only about 7 people including me from my class showed up. Oh well, those guys that didn’t show up, too bad man!
I tried the basic rope course that basically requires me to walk around a thin line of metal reinforced rope.
The only challenged came when I have to cross a part where my feet is suppose to tread onto a log and there is no support for me to grab on. I was thinking about how to solve this when I realized that the safety orange rope attached to me can be use as the support and after that I cross the log area breathlessly.
After that, I have to shout out some encouragement to some of my friends who were…a bit challenged in crossing the log part.
After that, my PE teacher, Emily, opened up the advanced course!
WOOHOO that was the best man!
Suspended in the air making your way across all those obstacles and finding creative ways to solve them!
It was soooo cool! I even hang onto a rope support using only 1 arm and feel the wind blowing while suspended in the air only with the safety orange rope. Feel so….free.
Alright guys, I got to go prepare for my competition.

Firstly, I would like to say:

GAMTRONICS HAS WON!!!

Yes it has been a long time coming but my team won Splash!
Woohoo thanks for all your prayers and encouragement guys and girls! Thank you!
Thank you God!

30th November was the day that we went down to Singapore Polytechnic to have a showcase of our wares to the public.
One of my mentors Chester was called up for reservist so only my other mentor Adam and together with other mentors in charge of the other teams went down.

Before we stepped into SP, I saw a terrible accident that unfolds ahead of the road that my bus was traveling on.
A lorry had knocked down a motor cyclist at the road junction to the entrance of SP man!
I could see that the cyclist was badly injured as he was unable to move. The bus that ferried us to SP have to turn at that exact junction and the front bumper came sooooooooo close to knocking into the motor cyclist’s head as he was lying on the road.
I was so worried that I did a quick prayer and thank God the bus did not even nudge the motor cyclist. As we left the scene I prayed that nothing serious will happen.

After the bus has stopped at our destination, we found out that we have to walk a looooooooooooooooooooong way to reach the convention centre where the showcase was held!
Cool morning exercise man!

Upon arrival at the convention centre we occupied the center area man! ITE College East basically dominated the showcase with our huge force of 14 teams! LOL!
Setup of equipment for the showcase was a breeze and we hang around, chatting and poking our heads at the various projects from the other teams at the showcase.

Man all the projects from ITE, poly and university are so interesting! My only complain is that there was a serious lack of games man!
I was so looking forward to seeing lots and lots of games since there was a ‘Consumer’ category in the competition but was greatly disappointed. However there were truly interesting games to makeup for the lack of quantity,

I honestly felt from the bottom of my heart that the game produced by Xin Yi’s team was cool man! Their graphics and game play concept is so nice! I asked about the graphics whether it was 3D but it wasn’t! Man! Amazing! The 2D image was that great man! It looks so like 3D!
Many people visited their booth and were interested in their game, even one of the personnel from Sun Microsystems voted for them!
If only the enemies in the game, the ghosts, could show up. Otherwise I believe they would have won the ‘Consumer’ category. Rats!
Sigh…what a pity man. I pray that they will win in the future.

Another disappointment comes from the JCs. Only ONE team showed up, which was RJC. They were the best of all man. Coming to the showcase without anything and only having it in ‘concept’. Yeah that is oh so cool man.

Finally the time came for the announcement of the prizes. We were ushered into the auditorium after packing up and waited with bated breath for the MC to announce the winners. However before the announcement, we had to wait like crazy through a series of speeches by some prominent figures from IDA and SCS (Singapore Computer Society).

After their speeches were done…the results came. The consumer category for ITE/JC section was announced. What I can truly say was that those who display a tremendous lack of confidence in winning actually won some prizes! I hope the confidence and hope in you guys have risen after Splash yeah!

The enterprise category for ITE/JC section came. I closed my eyes and prayed.
“The winner of Splash 2006 ITE/JC Enterprise Category goes to…”
I grabbed the seat handles hard. My teammate Benjamin, who was sitting beside me, went very quiet feeling extremely anxious.

“GAMETRONICS!”

OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDD! WE WONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
My whole body cramped man at that point because there were too much tension in me lol!
Nevertheless I mustered all strength and we stepped out to receive our prize.

OMG! OMG! OMG! We wonnnnnnnnnn!

All the decisions and sacrifices Gametronics made, WAS WORTH THE EFFORT!
Thank you God for all this time!
Thank you God for Your faithfulness!

After I have collected the prize and my team had shook hands with the VIP from IDA, we took a picture and after that I was still trying to recover from the shock and was confused as to where I should exit!
We did a demo of our application afterwards and once the ceremony ended, we start taking photos like crazy and everyone was like congratulating my team man!
I also took photos with my mentor Adam and wanted to take more but unfortunately the bus arrived. Those carrying the equipment back to school boarded the bus and we parted ways as I was one of those taking the train back.

As I took the train back with Ke Jun and Andrew, breathing a sigh of relieve that everything is finally over. All that left is to collect the prizes man!

I would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Adam and Chester, our mentors, for guiding us and teaching us throughout this entire period.

THANK YOU MAN!

Also I would like to thank everyone back at SUN COT, for showing good comradeship. It was real good that everyone helped each other out to fulfill their tasks and learning new things from one another.
This is what the spirit of being in SUN COT is, to advance together!

Hello Eric here.

Gosh it’s been a long time since I posted anything. Sorry man! I was real busy ever since my Splash started.

As you read this post, it is actually written by hand first before turning digital. It feels real weird and good at the same time lol.

Weird because it has been quite some time since I hand wrote something this much and also feels real good at the same time as every thoughts and feelings I have I am able to jot it down in words quickly without any time lag.

So, how are you? I hope you’re fine.

The month of October and early November has been real hectic and busy for me man.

But firstly I want to thank God that I can afford some time now to write/type this post.

Well let’s update you firstly on Splash.

I told you guys before in my previous post that I have this competition involving mobile application called Splash right?

Yeah ever since the last post I was preparing for it every single day, without much rest.

Even when school reopens on the 16^th October, I am still preparing for it!

Man, it was so stressful during this time I admit. Waking up early (5-6am) and leaving school at 9-10pm was real fierce considering the fact that my school is in Simei and I live in Yishun!

I thank God that He strengthens me during this period of stress and anxiety.

Everyone in SUN COT (the place where I did my preparation) involved in the competition was tired and stressful but I can see that they are determined to finish and do well for Splash. I really have to take off my hat and applaud them for many had not undergone stressful competition like this.

You guys rock!

Everyone was initially shy when we first got together but nearing the day of the competition, we were talking and laughing like a family.

This competition sure changes people!

Finally on the day of competition (9^th November), we took all our materials required for the competition down to Suntec City.

The competition was held at the IDA office on the 14^th floor.

We went there on a 5-star bus man! WHOA!

Upon arrival it was like Judgment Day, the tension was high and everyone tried to rehearse their presentation and talk among each other to relieve stress.

As for me, I was praying quietly somewhere and eventually doze off on the sofa provided.

Eventually the first team (Joanna’s) among us was called into the room for presentation.

After they were done, they were bombarded them with everything ranging from layout to the judges lol.

Subsequently every team that went in and came out were bombarded the same thing.

Just about 10mins before my team was to be called into the room, Benjamin, my team member did a final trial run of the program and the program could not work!

I had a panic attack right there and he told me it could be due to the fact I used the wireless LAN from IDA and it might have change some connection settings. Benjamin and I tried to resurrect the program but it just couldn’t work!

Thank God our mentor Chester was there and it assess the problem and quickly got it up and running.

I don’t care what happened and how he fixed it but just right then thank God for this miracle!

Finally came our turn! I was a little nervous and off balance from the panic attack earlier and my hands was cold when my team entered the room. Hey I was shivering man! Just that I masquerade it well!

I delivered the presentation and demo our application the best I could. Same goes for my team members Andrew and Benjamin.

The judges were pretty impressed with the innovations of our application and constantly praise and gave suggestions to better it.

There was a question that stumped me during the question and answer session but Andrew came in and answered it so well that the judges gave him high praises! Benjamin also answered some questions well and I was like the only one that answered wrongly due to the little excitement before my presentation. -.-||

After our presentation was over, I finally breath an air of relieve as we left the room but stop short as my team forgot to retrieve the materials that we show to the judges!

My team and some other team finally went for our lunch (late 4+pm) to celebrate the end of Splash, which was quite deserving as we did not have our lunch!

By the end of the whole competition, we took pictures with each other and also with our mentors, section heads and course manager.

We packed our stuff and some of us went back with the mentors to school to leave our materials.

I wasn’t one of them that went back because the trip back to my home from Simei is too long lol. Those that did not went back to school walked around Suntec City and together we talk for a little while before we head back home.

In conclusion, I think my team fare pretty well as we have lots of suggestions and positive feedbacks than questions of doubts.

Results will be out on the 30^th of this month, so till then constantly keep me in your prayers!

Also I took some photos with those from SUN COT. I do not have time to post it but maybe in the future.

Truly I have learned many things during this entire period.

An example would be how to focus. I like to do and get distracted by some secondary task while neglecting the primary; and I thank God for Adam (another mentor) pointed that out….flatly. Truly it’s kind of like a wake up call lol.

Also my leadership skills need some tuning, as I think that I lose the focus of the project half way through, which is dangerous for any leaders involved in projects. I’ve also learn how to work with a huge group of people, coordinating tasks, sharing information and helping out.

Most importantly, I’ve learn how the real working world would be like through this competition, as it mimics the actual working environment in the working world and I pray to God once I step into that, that He would guide and strengthen me.

Ok man I got to go prepare for school right now. I’ll update once I have time to post anything.

Good morning everyone!

It’s currently 12.14am so I’ll be the first to greet you a good morning and good day for the 28^th!

This week is the 2^nd week that I’m in full time development of my project.

Been quite a slow week

I’m mostly doing research on the tools I’m using, not much of development except in my head and on paper.

I only went back to school on Tuesday, just for a few hours before I left because my team wasn’t present.

Saw my teacher Adam and Chester.

I had some questions regarding my application so I had a short talk with them before I depart.

And praise the Lord Adam loaned me some books on J2ME!

Heh I’m going to have a fun time dissecting the contents.

Wei Zhi suggested having lunch together over my MSN so off I went to Simei MRT station to meet him, carrying my jacket and tons of books related to my project.

I chatted for awhile with him after lunch before I made my journey home.

Did some research and played some games before ending Tuesday.

So I woke up Wednesday morning resuming my research after breakfast.

Found some real interesting stuff and noted them at the back of my head.

I’ve been thinking quite a lot about J2ME and the potential that it has.

After this project is over, I’ll dive more into that I guess.

There’s one thing that I am truly thankful to God for.

My logically thinking isn’t that great and yet I can analyze and understand programming code.

Truly all this came from God…without Him…I guess I would be some…eh…I don’t know what I’ll become lol.

Alright I got to go sleep now…have a training over at Alexandra Technopark in the afternoon.

I’ll update more on the project soon.

Good evening everyone!

I have only a few minutes to spare before I am off again doing my project.

Yeah and I’m at home and I have to also work on the project.

Great way to spend your holidays huh some might say.

Well for once, I’m not complaining.

I’m getting experience and learning new stuff each day mannnn! Even though it’s fast track, I still learn something!

Today’s the second day that I and my team went into full time for this project.

Was pretty sleepy today, but I thank God that Miss Kristen taught me some of what I need to know for the project last year, so I didn’t have much problems catching up during the lecture session.

The project is progressing quite well I can say, even though I can feel that everyone’s tired and all sleepy (including me), but I pray to God continuously for His anointing to be on me, so that I can find ways to motivate everyone and that my members will not burn out.

We received news today that my team would be getting a Nokia N93 to work on.

Been having problems getting the Nokia software development kit to work in my Integrated Development Environment, I pray to God that I will be able to solve it soon!

I do not want to deploy the project onto the phone every time we make changes to the code; I want to be able to view the changes on the emulator in my PC!

Man, there isn’t much time left. Only 7 weeks till the day for judging.

So many things to do, yet so little time!

Have scripts for presentation and for an act to write, filming my candidates, have research and testing to do, instructions to give and many more!

God, help me!

Good evening everyone!

Sorry that I did not update my blog for close to a month.

Was real busy settling projects and preparing for exams.

7 weeks has flown past real quickly since I returned to school after my break and my attachment and here I am having my holidays and waiting for my next term to arrive.

As I began to type this post, I’ve thought long and hard what I have learned and did this whole time.

I’ve learn new stuff in school, make new mistakes and finally here I am, typing this post, which I thank God for letting me come so far.

Well I like to say that ever since I came back to school from my attachment, things had changed although the school psychically itself has not changed much.

Minds have changed. People have changed. Even books have changed lol.

Heck, even I have changed.

I’ve made quite a lot of mistakes this term…man I just wonder sometimes what I am thinking about man.

Don’t we all felt the same after we made mistakes?

But thank God, He is faithful…more faithful than I am. He didn’t rain down fireballs from Heaven on me for the mistakes I made, but even allow them to happen.

And He forgives.

I thank Him for that, as I learned and grown wiser and in turn became more faithful to Him.

I myself will repeat the mistakes I made this term and it’s only Him, Him the one that can help me to stop repeating it.

Amazing isn’t it, this plan of His.

So here I am typing away one Thursday evening, finally enjoying a day of rest after I submitted my final project codes.

I’ll officially have 3 weeks of holidays…but I think I’ll have only 1week or less of it lol.

I’m participating in a national competition….and I have to return to school to prepare for it.

So I guess….I’ll rest for like…3 days before going back to school again?

LOL.

Opportunities don’t come by easily so I’m grabbing them as much as I can and I thank God for all this opportunities.

Feeling real sleepy and tired right now…I pray that I have strength to meet my cell group leader later.

Anyway I was watching a movie earlier in the day, called 2 Young on Starhub Channel 62.

Amazing story I have to say.

It’s about 2 teenagers getting into a relationship too early and eventually the girl got pregnant.

Both the guy and the girl ran away from home due to their parental outrage and with the help of some friends, settle down in a rundown village to await the arrival of their baby.

The guy had to shoulder the burden of earning and providing for the family and the girl had to shoulder the burden of taking care of the house.

Adults are already struggling to do this. Can you imagine teenagers doing it?

This show really makes you think a lot and really wakes you up to the real world, and I highly recommend you to watch it if you have Channel 62, I repeat it’s called 2 Young lol.

It’s good that sometimes shows like this comes by.

Makes you reflect on yourself and prepare yourself for the future.

Anyway, I’m going to go play some games now while waiting for my meeting to come.

I’ll update again over this few days about my status of the project.

Good evening guys!

Today was a tiring but good day.

I had an interesting sex talk in the main lecture theatre in school today.

The speaker was someone from the life skills department and what she said was interesting…but I wasn’t really that interested.

Oh come on, I’ve been bombarded with this kind of information since I was in Secondary 1!

Only 6 of us turned up for it…amazing.

Anyway I went for my Customer Service lesson right after that and it was a pleasant surprise to see my ex-teacher, Loretta!

There were 2 new teachers together with her and I guess she was training the new teachers on the way things work in class by sampling Miss Wong’s lesson! Lol!

Anyway Loretta and the 2 new teachers left shortly

Had a interesting lesson but the best part was, Miss Wong showed us a movie that was ‘suppose’ to let us understand a particular person’s customer service.

And you guess what movie what that?

Hotel Rwanda!

I was a little puzzled at why Miss Wong choose that particular movie to enlighten us on customer service, for I know the movie was about the genocide that happened in Rwanda back in 1994, so where does her lessons comes in?

As I watch the movie, it literally seems to pull me back into the scene in 1994.

The main protagonist was a hotel manager named Paul, and the country that he lives in happens to have a racial hatred towards a minority group, called the Tutsi who was favored by their ex-colonizers to help rule the country over the majority Hutus.

Tensions escalated and eventually genocide broke out when the President of Rwanda was assassinated by some rebels.

Refuges poured into the hotel that Paul was running and there for the UN had a sizeable amount of guards securing the place.

As I watched the movie, I literally feel the tension that anytime some crazy bugger would roll their 3 toner into the hotel and start an Unreal Tournament match.

However, I saw one of the cruelest aspects of humanity that occurred.

The Westerners decided that Rwanda was not worth their time to sent troops to resolve the crisis, and opted instead to extract their citizens from the country as the genocide rages on.

Rwanda was worthless to them, the West do not want to bother what happen in this small landlocked African country.

It was real saddening man.

Imagine the very people that you know is going to get killed anytime soon just because of some stupid history.

And how would you feel when all those that is able to halt the genocide sits there, save their own backside and watches as the place, the very place that you grew up in, burn to the ground and the people that you know and meet everyday being humiliated and disposed of like some unwanted trash?

It was real shocking man.

Miss Wong pulled us back to the lesson, promising to show the second-half of the show as she was running out of time, telling us how Paul reacted professionally and calmly in the midst of the country’s most serious crisis, how he treated his guests with professionalism, who were the refugees regardless of whether they were the minority, the majority, the rich or the poor.

Even though she did not mention this, but I saw Paul used psychology tactics to deal with the people, the guests, the UN and the rebels, impressive. It’s like whoever he meets; he knows how to handle them.

Also, she asked this question, if Singapore were under such crisis, would the west come to our aid?

Yes, cause we are worthy to received aid.

That’s the sad part of life.

We have to be of worth in order for us to be worthy to receive aid…sigh.

If it was me, I would not even think or hesitate but offer help immediately.

Oh well, we live in an unfair world anyway.

Movie and moral issues aside, praise the Lord for His grace upon me as I took my VB test today!

Since the beginning of the new school term, I wasn’t that interested in VB and therefore…I slack a little lol.

So when Martin (my VB teacher) announced last week that we will be having a test, my heart skipped a beat.

I did not really pay much attention or really revised on VB!

I prayed and the Lord prompted me to study over the weekend on my VB, but even then I don’t have much time to revise.

Even on the eve of the test I stayed out late at a friend’s house to resurrect his PC.

So I woke up early Tuesday morning and prayed a little and right before the test, I prayed for strength to be upon me as I take the test.

Praise the Lord, not only did I completed the test quickly; my program doesn’t display any errors! Not those that can be seen easily anyway lol.

Truly God is amazing.

Only when I am weak will He be strong and exalted.

Hallelujah!

I thank you Lord for your grace. Praise be to You!

Truly it has been a good day.

Good evening everyone!

Ah, here’s another post from me!

Today, for the first time ever, I cycled to my cell group leader’s house.

And he lives in Woodlands.

MY GOD! It was physically challenging man!

Considering the fact that I hardly exercise nowadays, it was a pure test of mental and physical endurance!

However, praise God that Isaac cycled too with me.

Isaac, one of the most anointed people I ever met, cycling with me! Thank you Lord for the fellowship!

It was really tough cycling up and down the slopes amidst Gambas Avenue, the road linking my neighborhood to Woodlands.

My feet were quivering, almost giving way when I got off the bike and tried to stand up.

Praise God that Isaac encouraged me, and I push on.

Eventually, we reached our destination and I almost had a cramp while cycling towards it!

Cell group meeting was great today, praise and worship was good, although there were some typo errors that I made while typing the song sheets, and the message was good too.

The power of the Holy Spirit overwhelmed me during the meeting.

My strength and energy was renewed and I was super charged up!

The trip back home on bike was like a miracle.

Here I was, a few hours earlier struggling to cycle due to a long hiatus in any physical activities, a few hours later with the Holy Spirit I cycled like a mad man!

Never stopping once during the trip back home, I was amazed that I can cycle after so much energy exertion earlier on!

Praise the Lord for He never fails to amaze me.

Isaac invited me to watch my church service broadcasted over the Internet at his home and initially my flesh resisted, but I thank God that I submitted in the end and my, I had a wonderful service! And it was streaming over the net!

Imagine being there in person lol!

To sum it up, today was truly a day led by the Trinity. As I choose to surrender, the Trinity will take over and miracles will start to happen!

I thank you Lord, praise be to You!

Good evening everyone!

Yeah I’m falling behind on updates to my blog.

Sorry readers!

Been really busy with stuff to updates even though this is one of the most relaxing terms I ever had.

I celebrated my church’s 17^th Anniversary on Sunday!

It was fantastic!!!

I woke up at…5am to queue so that I could have the ground floor seats in the Singapore Indoor Stadium for my cell group.

Thanks to Isaac for accompanying me.

And oh wow it’s amazing that 17years has passed for my church.

It was interesting to watch the video that the church played during service on how they went from a group of 20 people to the huge congregation that we have now.

Truly God is amazing! Hope to see how the church is like another 17 years later!

I left early after the service to prepare for my Maths test on Monday.

The test was sooooo easy. Thank you Lord!

Your anointing truly is amazing!

By the way National Day just passed recently and on the eve of it I went back to school for some celebrations.

My God, what a disaster.

My class has the privilege to sit on chairs at the outdoor sports hall so I get to sit almost everything and everyone.

I thought the organizers were going to have some spectacular celebration having all 7000 students assembled at the field.

The emcees came up and were so boring and I could see that many people lose interest instantly.

What came next was even worse.

They wanted us to do some kind of workout man!

Some student leaders came running out and started to do the workout, trying to encourage the students to do it too.

NO ONE was doing it. I mean, come on you expect every people to be so ‘on’?

What about me? LOL I was sitting on the chair enjoying the view and was wondering why anyone would plan such a thing man.

After the….interesting workout came a teacher trying to lead the school into singing some National Day songs.

Again, NO ONE even bothered.

I could see the crowd getting even more restless at what was going on.

I just sighed, I woke up at 5am to reach school on time because my teacher requested it and here it was such an ‘interesting’ celebration. I know my teacher never said anything but I guess she was pretty disappointed at it too.

Thank God Li and I played Magic! Yeah it’s good for passing time and before we knew it, time for dismissal! YAYYYY! Praise the Lord!

On National Day itself, I spend a peaceful and quiet day at home, ahhhhh, how relaxing it was.

I watched earlier half of the National Day celebration on TV, the part where the soldiers do what they were supposed to do every year.

After their march, I SWITCHED channel. LOL I’m not that interested in what happens after that.

Had a super hard time sleeping last night and woke up extremely sleepy. Tried my best to keep my mind alert during Maths lesson and thank God it was just revision of an earlier chapter.

During our extremely long break, I and some of my classmates brought Magic to play! I went to Li’s house to configure a deck and went to Jason’s house to duel it out shortly.

What a blast man, playing 2 VS 2 with Jason, Li, Benson and me. Although I did not win much, hey Li, I learn something ok!

Success is learning from our mistake, and I thank God that I am improving in Magic each time I played.

Eventually, we got too engross in the game and was late for lesson! Oh my God!!!!

And I was so sleepy during practical man!

However I thank God that I managed to finish my task and even though I arrived late for lesson.

I took the bus to the interchange and went to 969 and sighed.

The queue was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long!

I just got into queue with Fadli and waited for the bus. Thank God for His mercy that I and Fadli got onto the second bus and able to have seats!

To sum it up, this few days was rather a challenged to my patience, both with people and in situations, but I want to thank the Lord sincerely that, truly, His mercy and grace and anointing was always upon me even in times when I do not realized it or in times of trouble.

Been a little….too relying on the flesh this few days, got to trust God more!

Good evening everyone!

My my my!

Looking at my blog, my last post was on the 13^th July!

Gosh time does fly when you’re busy.

Since I’m a little free up currently, I shall type out a post.

As of today, school has reopened 2 weeks for me.

As attachment and holidays are over, I’ve been busy since the day school reopens.

New subjects, new teachers, new classmates and new changes in the class.

Interesting.

Oh yeah the first time that I saw my new timetable, I thought my school made a mistake or something.

2 core subjects?!

What?!

Amazing, this term can be considered one of the most relaxing ones since I stepped into ITE.

One the first day when everyone came back, I noticed everyone has changed.

Everyone has matured during their time of attachment.

However, some still remain unchanged. Oh well.

The school has definitely gotten more crowded with the new batch from the most recent O Levels.

The cafes are soooooooooooooo packed it’s hard to secure a section to have lunch.

Oh yeah the cafes are also open to outsiders. That makes it even harder to get seats!

Nevertheless, I thank the Lord for bringing me back to school!

School life is much much better than working life.

It’s relaxing and more time freed up and best of all, I obtained new knowledge!

Having slacked much during attachment, it was a little difficult to adjust to the school timing.

I would like to thank the Lord for being patient with me, always forgiving whenever I made mistakes.

Mistakes like being crazily late for school and having a little slacking attitude in school.

I have faith that I will overcome them by next week.

Anyway enough of school.

My cell group just…got reshuffled.

I’ve joined this current one that I had 4 months earlier from my initial cell group.

Back then there were also a reshuffling and I was send to this current one.

It was very unbearable to part with some of my cell group members in the ‘Inner Circle’ back then lol.

And now it happened again.

Sigh.

However, no matter what, I always remember this verse, Titus 1:5 in the Bible.

No matter what situation, be it good or bad, this verse will nevertheless pops up in my head initiated by the Lord.

I’ve been reshuffled into a cell group considered as young adults.

Praise God for a new season to look forward to.

I’ve grown much during these 4 months, and I look forward to what’s in store from the Lord.

Good evening everyone.

Been coughing real badly since Monday. I do not know what’s wrong man!

Went to my classmates’ chalet today instead of the appointed day of Wednesday.

Man what’s wrong with my throat?

Been coughing like crazy when I’ve arrived at the chalet.

The chalet was quite small; thank God that I’m not staying overnight.

I was almost thrown into the pool but I managed to elbow and punch my way out of my captors, LOL!

Had a short soccer game with my classmates, a guy from Israel wanted to join us, so well fine we included him in the game. His skills were not bad, or was I just bad that what seems normal to others became fantastic in my eyes? LOL!

I had no idea.

And oh man it was so hot playing half-naked at the beach!

The sand was like burning our feet and we could not stay constantly at one spot for long. I had to run and jump around like crazy!

After a few matches, everyone got too tired and burned out to continue, so a few of us sat down and talked to the Israel guy, his name was Erez, interesting, while the rest head back to the chalet to swim in the coolness of the pool.

Found some interesting stuff from Erez, namely, they too have nation service like us, but they have to serve 3 years!!!!!!

OH MY GOD!

That is such a torture!

Oh well, with so much hostility around them, can’t blame them for that too lol.

Most surprising was that the Israelite females have to serve NS too!

Girls, you are SO BLESSED in Singapore so better make use of this opportunity huh.

Also, their city is something like ours, living in high rise apartments and all.

Interesting. Too bad I didn’t take photo with him cause Jebson said something that pisses me off.

Oh well, I’ll remember Erez in some section of my memory then.

Went back and had a cooling swim, courtesy of pants and towel provided by Chris cause I didn’t bring anything, lol thank you man!

Played a game of monkey trying to catch the ball in the pool, was never ending man.

Anyway some of us, including me, left the chalet before the BBQ started.

My throat couldn’t take it the heat from the BBQ food man.

What’s wrong?

Lord, please heal me Lord.

Took some photos but currently not uploading to my photo blog.

I’m looking for a website that can host my photos man, without using a blog cause it loads every photos that I’ve placed for that month at once man.

And it’s SLOW for some peeps of mine.

Oh well, I shall pray for the Lord for such a website that fits my criteria man.

Anyway, thanks Benson for organizing it, although I didn’t stayed overnight or ate the BBQ food, I had fun man.

And praise the Lord for protection physically and mentally.

Good afternoon everyone!

Yeah sorry for the lack of updates, was busy the last few days of my attachment.

PRAISE THE LORD!

My attachment has finally ended on the 7^th this month man!

Gosh, words cannot describe the joy that I have for it to be finally over.

I do not have to face the people at the bank anymore!

Yipee!

However, I’ll miss my colleague Ken and Dennis; they took good care of me and help me a lot back at HSBC.

Praise God that here I am typing this post out as today was really the start of my holidays.

I really busy this past few days, with church and also school.

I would like to thank God for giving me this whole day for being able to sit around at home, doing some work and being able to read Harry Potter!

LOL I know I’m a little late, but hey it’s never too late until the next book comes right.

And oh yes, I’ve purchased Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince for only $19.90!!

And it’s hardcover!!!

Unbelievable! And the previous price tag was still stuck on the back of the book, and it was previously priced at $45.10!

Praise God for this wonderful discount lol.

Yeah also I’ve mentioned earlier that I’m busy with school.

I’ve joined this competition that my teacher told me to sign up for and I have to produce a game for it!

Man, my dream finally came through!

I’m going to make a game!

Although it will be on a mobile phone, I believe more great projects will be blessed to me by the Lord!

Seriously God is good. Before I was saved, I would still be sitting somewhere confused about my future.

Always pondering what is going to happen and lacking the empowerment to do anything.

Good evening people!

I had a sudden impulse to type this post as I listen to this song Neverending Story (Techno version man!).

I remembered the last time I heard this song was back in my secondary school days, in 2002, when I was graduating from my NPCC with my batch’s squad.

I still remember that day man, as the entire squad’s well wishes for everyone was played as a Powerpoint slide and this music was playing.

I don’t remembered crying, but it definitely touched my heart.

To the Express students, they are leaving that year after finishing their O Levels.

To the Normal Technical students, they are leaving after taking their N Levels.

To some of us Normal Academics, we just might leave after taking our N Levels.

Our time there in Northland Secondary school is ending.

Our time in NPCC is ending.

Everyone will go their separate ways to pursue their dreams.

Everyone has started to move on with life.

However, as this song continues to play, and as the lyric says, our friendship will never end.

The story of our friendship that we build during our 4 years of serving in NPCC will never end.

It will continue and continue till the day we passed on I guess.

The bonds, the unity, the passion, the craps and the friendship that we had during NPCC will be with us forever.

If our lives are like a novel, I pray the chapter on friendship will never end.

Same goes for you guys and gals that I’ve known outside the circle of my NPCC.

The first day I’ve known you guys/gals, the conversation we have, the fun we have, whatever we have together, will always live on.

Each and everyone of you guys has made an impact on my lives directly or indirectly, yes it’s true I assure you lol.

I sincerely pray to the Lord that the chapter on friendship with you guys and gals, will last till the day we passed on.

Good evening!

Just came back from church.

I went to church early in the morning despite many incidents (I couldn’t find my toothbrush and underwear!) to book seats for the cell group.

Yao Zhong was there before me as he came directly from his family’s chalet.

I happened to carry a huge tumbler to return Sister Wendy, and it was a bit awkward to carry it to church (Clarence even wondered whether there was curry inside!), but manage to deliver it back to Sister Wendy.

Service was great! There was a drama for Father’s Day and it was quite hilarious.

N314 and N238 almost had full member attendance today, praise God.

And praise God! I did not fall asleep during Bible Study!

Halleluyah!

Usually I’ll be either half-awake or almost asleep during Bible Study.

Breakthrough man!

And oh yeah my sub-zone chalet ended yesterday.

It was organized by my church’s sub-zone leaders and I spend 3 days and 2 nights there.

The chalet was located at one of Changi’s Aloha chalet located at Cranwell Road.

The chalet was freaking big and was freaking fun!!!!!!

The things that I learn and the interactions with various brothers and sisters was fantastic man!

And we celebrated quite a number of birthdays at the chalet LOL.

Praise and worship there was awesome! Presence of God was so heavy and my faith was renewed!

Thank you Lord.

Gosh, as I type this post out, I’m starting to miss the chalet man.

I’ve never had a chalet with my church friends before, so this chalet will kind of stick with me for some time yeah.

Oh yeah my ex-cell group members were there too!

I had fun with them, although I didn’t have much time to talk to them.

Sigh, miss those days that I had with them.

Anyway I spent most of the day playing Magic with my cell group members!

MAN IT IS FUNNNN!

My interest for Magic never really took place ever since they came into existence, but after the chalet, my interest for Magic took off like crazy!

LOL, didn’t know I missed out on such a great strategy game.

Thanks Gabriel and Ernest for helping me getting oriented with Magic LOL.

Thank you Lord for Magic. It’s a great game.

And also, the drama that my group performed was insanely funny man, thanks to Gabriel.

It’s great having him around to spice things up LOL.

Good morning!

I’m back from the 3^rd session of Emerge!

Man each meeting just gets better and better!

My pastor just keeps throwing surprises after surprises at us!

Friday night it was those stars from Project Superstar and Singapore Idol and on Saturday, Pastor Sun came back and performed for us!

OH MY GOD!!!

Oh yeah, she’s ex-pastor Sun now. I’ve forgot.

She left her pastoral duties to work in the entertainment line full time.

You go Sun!

You rock!

Pastor Kong once again shared with us another powerful message.

It’s about how we should be in the world, but not of the world.

We should be contemporary, not like some religious freaks.

We ought to be a Daniel for society!

Thank You Lord! It pumps up my faith even more!

Oh yessssssss not forgetting Saturday was my birthday!

Chui Lan, Yong Lan, Nan and Surina came and wished my happy birthday!

Not only that, they gave me a shirt and a birthday card!

Wah! I never did expect them to remember my birthday, yeah cause we multiplied and went to different cell groups.

But what touches me most was the card that Kristine made.

Seriously, the message she wrote on the card came so timely that I almost shed a tear while reading it.

God never cease to use anointed people to reach out to me.

Thanks for remembering my birthday!

And oh yes my cell group also celebrated my birthday right after Saturday’s session.

One of my birthday wish was to really create a game that shows the glory of Jesus.

Games can be a very powerful tool to reach out to the lost.

I do not know how I am going to create it or what the content or gameplay will be like.

But I know that the Lord will be with me.

I pray Lord, You’ll guide me and be with me as I embark on this path to create a powerful and high impact game for You.

I pray Lord that this will be one of the tools to reach out to the lost.

I pray that whoever plays the game will be blessed!

Good morning people!

This is Eric reporting from the aftermath of the second day of Emerge 2006!

Emerge is an annual youth conference organized by my church, and it is a freaking huge event with delegates from around the world attending it!

My God, the first day of Emerge was nerve wrecking and earth shattering!

I queued like crazy wearing my formal attire totally out of place and was sweating like a fountain before I even entered the great auditorium in my church!

Had a small battle with some cell group over seats.

Man the cell group leader even threatens to call security!

Of course I raise my hand showing her the way to security!

It’s ridiculous giving up my seats when my cell group members are right outside the doors just a few meters from coming in!

SO WHAT IF YOUR CELL GROUP IS BIG AND CAME FIRST!

I mean too bad if the place that you choose couldn’t accommodate your size man, don’t come poaching from others!

Anyway my cell group leader intervened and the matter was resolved, I came hungering for God’s Word not for a verbal war.

The whole meeting was excellent I can say!

With the parades of schools and all the fancy fire-works, my eyes were getting dazzled by the effects and bodies being thrown around.

Pastor Kong preached about the importance of reaching out to schools, and I got on fire to reach out to those in my school!

I mean, what Pastor Kong said was true, the youths are going to be the next generation of leaders, and getting them grounded in God’s Word and experiencing Him will change their life forever.

For the better in fact.

I sat at my seat listening very attentively to what Pastor said and the keys to reach out to the youths.

Thank you Lord, for prompting me to come for the opening night, the message truly blessed me.

Alright here comes the report for the second night!

It was even crazier!

First the amazing dance by O School and followed by raw muscle power in an arm wrestling match!

Even the pastors came for a match in arm wrestling!

Wow!

And it doesn’t even end there!

My church, listen, MY CHURCH, invited the winners from Campus Superstar to sing for us!

OH MY GOD!

I’ve never expected my church to do that!

It was amazing!

And my Pastor Aries acting as emcee told us after their performance, “After the Chinese singers, how can we not have the English side too!”

And GUESS WHAT!

That Singapore Idol guy Taufiq came on stage to sing!

OH WOW!

We cheered like crazy I tell you!

Those stars shared how they accomplished their dream and it really inspired me, especially Taufiq’s.

Don’t bother what others said, if you have a dream, run for it till you accomplishes it!

Praise God for inviting them to church.

Sometimes I as an individual need others to show me the correct way and attitude to a fulfilling life in Christ.

Praise God for using every single person to teach me be it directly or indirectly.

After those crazy stuff and surprising appearances Pastor Kong got us into the Word.

The presence of the Holy Spirit was so thick!

The message Pastor shared was on Spiritual Hunger.

This message touched my soul like never before.

These past few months of dryness makes me realize that my hunger for the Lord has dimmed a little.

Thank you Lord, for this timely message.

Now my spiritual hunger has kicked into overflow, and I thank You that I am able to walk even closer to you again.

OH YES I JUST TURNED TWENTY!

Praise God for this wonderful 20 years on earth.

All the things You’ve done for me, Lord I thank You from the bottom of my heart.

Thank You for all the wonderful friends I’ve made from church, school, work and play.

Thank You for blessing me with a good family!

Thank You for your amazing grace.

Can’t wait for the next 20, 40, 80, 100, 200 years of walking with You Lord!

Hey good evening everyone.
Yeah it’s been a long time since I last posted anything.
How is everyone?
I pray you are healthy and doing well.
The first month of my attachment has just ended and I’ve received my pay yesterday!
Praise God!
Doesn’t seems much but I believe this is just only the beginning, not the end of God’s goodness in my life.
This whole attachment has been quite slacking, well what to do man, I’m just doing cloning!
Been reading some books on Christian living, quite interesting and benefiting I say.
I had joy, I had laughter, I had sadness while reading those books.

Oh yeah, I’ve just finished reading about inheritance on C++, and oh man, I find that I still have many more things to learn.
And I still can’t make a star or triangle figure out of a For loop!

Good evening everyone!
Well, today marks the 4th day of the 3rd week of my attachment.
I do not know why, but I have a serious urge to post the blessings that God has given me.
I feel it’s a sin not to give glory to God!
Hey, if you are not happy with it, then TOO BAD!
Firstly, I would like to thank God for giving me solutions for every problems that I faced, be it at work or during my self-study!
Take for instance yesterday and today.
I hit a very serious problem in C++ that if I cannot find the solution to solve it, my advancement in learning the programming language will come to a halt.
But praise God!
He showed me where the mistakes were and provided me the solutions!
Halleluyah!
Don’t tell me this is luck man, I’ll slap you!
This is a miracle from God!
Another problem arose during a chit-chat with my fellow colleagues at HSBC.
I’ve found out a very shocking story.
I am not posting what the shocking story is as it might affect some people.
I just wanted to thank God for being there with me all this time.
He never failed to be with me, even if the situation seems hopelessly lost and there is no solution in sight.
And also I wanted to thank God for blessing me with material abundance.
His ever faithfulness never fails me whenever I am in lack or in need.
Halleluyah!
I’ve read the first few chapters of the book of Joshua in the Old Testaments (it’s an exciting book), and I came across this verse in Joshua 1:5-9.
The phrase “be strong and courageous” was repeated 3 times here, by God Himself.
God is telling us here that whatever He has already promised us, we on the other hand should be strong and courageous and believes in Him.
This verse strengthen my faith more is that whatever God has promised, no matter what crappy situation I might be in or whatever enemy is coming, I must be strong and courageous for God has already promised for deliverance.
I must learn to welcome battle!
No matter the amount of top-notch training or preparations you have, if you have no guts to welcome battle, you will lose and all those training and preparations will be a waste!

Good…morning everyone!
By the time I have finish typing out this post, I guess it will be morning so here I am being the first guy wishing you a good morning for May 12th!

As I stepped out of town, I checked my map.
Rats, the final task for me to become a knight is sooooooooo far away!
Sighing in exasperation, I drew out my sword and my shield and begin my journey for my final task.
I passed many trees and mountains before I finally reach the destination for my final task.
I surveyed the surroundings and observed the enemies that I was told to kill.
Standing at about 2m in height, they looked like hyenas to me.
Except hyenas don’t wear armor and carry big bulky swords.
I spotted a lone hyena warrior patrolling a quiet area.
With my sword and shield and soulshot in hand, I dashed out from where I’ve hidden and sprang onto him.
The hyena warrior was shocked and couldn’t react fast enough as I descended onto his head with my sword and a loud crack together with a violent spray of red blood ensured.
The other hyena warriors rushed into the area for their sense of hearing is superb.
Pulling out my sword that was entrenched into the dead hyena warrior’s skull, I dashed forward sword drawn and shield up, welcoming battle.

Yeah there was an event that just happened earlier when I played this online game called Lineage 2.
It’s amazing that a game can bring so much interesting stories into your head, LOL.
I had quite a relaxing day today, went to my school in the early afternoon to return my laptop and paying my school fees.
In case you’re wondering, I took leave man!
Praise the Lord!
Anyway there was some minor hiccups with my school fees payment but it was settled quickly without much hassle, praise the Lord!
Had a quick drink and talked about work with Eric Cai, quite interesting stories that he told me.
I went home promptly and played that game Lineage 2 which I just mentioned earlier.
Learn some C++ later in the night, had quite a productive and peaceful day to sum it up.
Thank God.

Good morning people!
Damn I couldn’t log into Blogger yesterday and therefore have to change the contents of my post!
Yeah I’m sorry I didn’t post anything for quite some time.
I was too tired after doing excises in C++.
Time sure flies. Today marks the third day of the second week of my attachment at Getronics and HSBC.
It’s quite interesting to see how a bank operates; the bank’s working culture and the professionalism that they display.
Also, there’s interesting people in the bank, especially in a big bank.
However I’ve learn an important lesson yesterday.
I should not divulge much but all I can say that it’s very important how you behave and perform yourself at work.
Not to mention your working attitude.
Why do I say that?
Well, just remember, there will always be someone watching you at work.
End of story.
I’ve been reading furiously about C++ this past few days and I really wanted to thank God for giving me the energy and strength to read about C++ in spite of my tiredness after a day of work.
God sure really does miracles.
Oh yes! Being a game fanatic, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the annual E3 event.
What is it about? Well I can tell you it’s the biggest display of new game software from every company in this industry.

What excites me most is that one of my favorite game developers, Square Enix, announced that they are working on their latest and highly acclaimed Final Fantasy series, entitled Final Fantasy XIII!
It’s not going to be just one game mind you, but a SERIES of games!

Also there was a special announcement this year, regarding a certain machine.
The Playstation 3.
OH MAN! So much good news in one day!
God is good ALL THE TIME!
But alas, the pricing of the console came together with the announcement and it wasn’t a nice figure.
Playstation 3 will be priced at US$499 and US$699!!!
Oh my God!
Where am I going to find money for that?!
Oh well, I’ll cast this worry aside and focus more on God for now.

Good evening people!
Today marks the end of the first day of my internship!
LOL.
It’s kind of fun really.
I had TWO lunch breaks.
Its amazing.
One with my boss at Getronics.
Another with my colleagues at HSBC.
My colleagues back at HSBC turns out to be nice and fun people to be with, even though they are like….10+ years older than me?
LOL.
Yeah I’ll be stationed at HSBC for the time being, cloning PCs for the bank’s employees.
The HSBC that I am stationed at is opposite Fullerton Hotel, and that was the first time I even come close to that hotel!
I know, I know I’m a little slow.
Hey I don’t walk around often, so some places in Singapore I did not step foot at.
Anyway, I would like to thank God that even though there were some hiccups on the first day of my internship, everything when well in the end.
Thank you Lord for giving my energy and strength to learn a little bit of C++.

Good evening people!
It’s 10:50pm at the time I type this post.
In another few hours I would be on my way for my internship at Dell!
I wonder what the working environment will be like.
Hmm.
Anyway I went to church for service yesterday and the preacher from Australia was excellent!
The topic was about passion and what he said did make sense and motivated me more!
Thank you Lord for placing him there to speak to us and reignite our hearts!
Seriously, passion is what you need to excel.
Intelligence alone is not good man. But intelligence with passion can make you a formidable person!
I remembered someone did ask me that why I am not lethargic by coming all the way from Yishun to my school, located in between Changi and Simei.
Well my answer was simple.
I have a passion for what I was studying.
Besides, the weekly trip down to my church’s old building back at Jurong West trained me up. LOL.
I can seriously tell you I am not smart.
But the passion that I have to please God and to make games causes me to work hard and diligently.
However I learn to have a balanced lifestyle, between work and play.
A person that does not know me well might think I am a hardcore bookworm. LOL.
NO MAN!
In fact I am a hardcore game and anime freak!
So I woke up today happily praising God and applied what the preacher said yesterday.
I made a list of what I wanted to do yesterday and I accomplished all of them! Including reading God’s Word!
Praise the Lord!
Writing down your task is better than picturing them in your head, for writings are concrete evidence!
I revised my C++ programming which I left off about 3 months back. Man I can honestly say I absorbed more than the last time I read!
Thank you Lord for your anointing!
Well, I have to stop here now, going back to read up the remaining chapter where I have last stop in my C++ book.

Good evening everyone.
I do not know what the date and time will be when I post this, it will be either April the 28th or 29th.
Currently I am tired, but I strongly feel that I must type this post before I sleep.
Today marks the final battle that I had prepared for since the beginning of this month.
JavaJive.
Firstly I would like to thank Mr Nithy, for imparting knowledge and experience to me and my team that is working on this project for the competition.
I would like to thank Mr Eng Kai for his never-ending energy, creativity and effort in salvaging the project.
I would like to thank Joanna, my God; I think you must have suffered a lot for the last 1 month. LOL. Well done on your part.
I would like to thank Yik Loong, for your time and your creativity and effort in helping to develop the project.
I would like to thank Benson! Man, your designs are great. LOL don’t worry about the posters, it’s safely tuck away where it will be shown once again to the whole world!
I would like to thank Andrew for designing the packaging for the project. I am seriously and deeply sorry for forgetting to show it to the judges during presentation, as I was trying to cut my speech even shorter than what was originally planned and totally forgotten about it.
My bad. I’m real sorry about it.
Lastly, I would like to thank God for giving me strength and His presence was always there throughout the whole development process.
Thank you Lord.
We all DID our best, from developing, testing, implementing, integration to finally the presentation.
Let me give tell you what happened today at the JavaJive competition.
I arrived a little late at the appointed time, LOL. Called Yik Loong to open the door for me and was greeted by his middle finger for being late. LOL, sorry man.
I quickly set up the project and tested it. It was working perfectly.
By then the competitors has started to stream into the COT, so I quickly put on my tie, oh yeah, I have to wear extremely formal.
It’s an IT business presentation after all I guess.
Back to the tie, with the help of Mr Nithy, I quickly put it on and assign tasks to my members while I prepare my speech.
I was going over the speech while finally, the host for the event called for us to gather for an opening ceremony.
My presentation was second in line man!
After the brief opening speech, the judging and presentation of projects started.
The team from Temasek Polytechnic was the first to present, man, their speaker was excellent. It was so darn professional.
However, he got too long winded and ended up not finishing his presentation for we had a time limit imposed. LOL.
Now all eyes came to me.
From what I had observed, I did a quick analysis.
Judges wants the meat of what I say.
There is a time limit of 10 minutes.
I have done my speech and demonstration under the time limit.
I need to act normal and not freak out.
Doing a quick and silent prayer to God, I started my speech and also the battle.
I went through all the major functions of my project, didn’t use much Singlish, or shall I say none at all, did the demonstration of the project and pass the second part of the demonstration to Yik Loong.
In the end, I have plenty of time left.
I was like, WOW, our presentation was that fast?! We finished it so quickly after I literally did very detailed speech and demonstration?
Praise God for His strength!
Now the second battle arrives.
Since I had so much time left, the judges asked me questions, a Q&A session I would say.
My God, they bombarded me and Yik Loong like crazy.
BUT, TOO BAD, I RETALIATED!
With the Trinity behind me I answered all their questions clearly and all of them were satisfied and speechless!
PRAISE THE LORD!
After my presentation was over, my lectures congratulate me that I delivered a superb speech.
Thank you God!
I followed the crowd after my presentation and view the rest of the competitors’ projects. Some were innovative and creative while some were like total craps.
Oh yes and the craps came from the polytechnics.
Amazing.
After we had a break and finally at 3pm, the judges announced the winners.
Sad to say, my team did not win anything.
Oh well, it’s alright.
We gained experience, exposure, knowledge, friendship and teamwork during this period. Like what one of the spokeswomen from Sun Microsystems had said, we are all winners.
I totally agree.
God has a plan for every situation that we are in.
I did not win this time doesn’t mean I am a loser and my project sucks.
It shows I must try again and not give up.
God didn’t give up on us and neither shall I in myself.
One of my course manager said this isn’t the end but only the beginning.
I smiled at that comment.
Exactly what I am thinking.
It was a good and satisfying battle. Another chapter has closed in my life.
A new one will begin on Tuesday.
Oh yeah by the way my internship is with Dell!
Praise the Lord!

Hey good evening everyone!
LOL I know I did not blog often nowadays.
I’m kind of busy with competition and all.
It’s currently 9:45pm as I type this post. I had a wonderful cell group meeting today.
The sharing of the Word was fantastic!
It gave me more new revelations and I’m able to follow Jesus even closer. =)
God’s Word is always edifying and true!
Starting a day with faith is VERY IMPORTANT.
Praying to God the moment you wake up, I tell you, it rocks.
You will thus be able to tackle the day’s problems full steam ahead!
I cannot stress this enough. Wouldn’t you want to have a good start?
God created everything and just by doing a simple start of the day prayer, don’t you think He won’t bless you?
Yeah, by the way, I want to praise God for blessing me with good results!
I did better this semester than the last!
I scored 3.6/4.0 while last semester I scored 3.1/4.0!
Praise the Lord!

Oh yes this past few days I’ve been crazy about cars and more cars. LOL. I played this game Need for Speed Most Wanted and it allows me to have all my car fantasies come true!
LOL.
Amazing what computer game does huh?
It allows us to do things that we are unable to do.

Hello and evening everyone. It’s currently 9:05pm on my clock.
Yeah I know I’ve not been blogging these past few days. I was too busy and tired.
I had a wonderful Easter celebration at church last Sunday, where my fellow brothers and sisters were treated to a wonderfully touching drama about Easter by my church’s drama team.
Lord, I’m sorry I did not bring any new friends to watch the drama, on how you gave your life for man.
Man, the love that Jesus had for man still last till this day even though He went back to heaven.
Tell me, who in this world is willing to die for you to set you free?
Who in this world is willing to humble themselves to help or to serve you?
I can truly say there is not many.
Jesus is the only one that is willing to sacrifice Himself just to save you!
I pray that my Christian friends and I can be more like Him, to show this freaking world that He lives in us!
And oh yeah He isn’t dead alright I’ll slap you so hard if you do say that.
Right after my Easter service I ran off to my ex-NPCC squad mate Nurul’s wedding!
Man, she’s amazing I mean being the first among us to get married, LOL.
And everyone was like teasing me saying when my turn is coming and would I even get married!

Well honestly I’ve did thought of this before.
What I can say is that, I’ll trust the Lord and wait for my turn to come. LOL.

Good evening everyone.
Yeah I know I didn’t post anything for the past few days cause I was either too tired or having writer’s block.
Currently its 11.55pm on my clock here.
My project due for the Java competition still can’t work in Solaris, have to try solving the problem tomorrow.
Everything works about 80% in Windows, but on Solaris, ARHHHH!
Been trying to solve problems and creating functions for the project this past three days, getting real sleepy right now as I type this post.
And oh yeah the videos that my dad wants me to convert and burn onto DVDs is now able to work perfectly on DVD players!
Praise God! It took me four days just to do the converting for all the videos that he took!
Man, that sure is long. My poor computer needs some rest after today though. LOL
Basically I wanted to thank God for these few days that although I have rest from the competition I didn’t really slack that much. LOL
Yeah that’s what I guess I wanted to post today, in case people will start wondering this blog is dead. LOL/

Good evening everyone. Currently the time is 11.44pm as I type out this post.
Went for cell group meeting today and was totally refreshed from the inside out after a chaotic week with my Java competition.
Today’s Word gives me more knowledge about the Bible and God’s Divine Will.
Interesting I can say.
Did you know that before the flood in Genesis chapter 6 that wiped out all mankind except Noah’s family there was no rain at all? Yes no thunderstorm no showers no nothing!
That was the first time that mankind encountered rain. Amazing. I didn’t know that.
And also did you know that Noah was mocked at for 120 years while building the Ark that God commanded him to do and everyone thought he was insane?
Man, imagine getting mocked by your friends for 120 years!
Noah did manage to build the Ark because he obeyed God despite of the mocking and ridicule. And it was that Ark that saved his and his family.
I will obey God more and walk closely with Him after I’ve heard of the story. I hope my Christian friends that are reading this will do the same.
Even though what He told us to do seems funny but remember, He has a great plan for us and we should not questioned Him.
After today’s cell group meeting makes me realized that there is still more things to know about God from the Bible, so please my Christian friends, continue reading your Bible whichever chapter or verse you are at, because God’s Word continues to refresh our mind.
I had quite a relaxing day today.
I think I have to start doing my Java again tomorrow; competition is drawing near and there's no time to lose!
And oh yeah I’ve completed watching Chrono Crusade today! Praise God!
The ending was quite sad as what Gabriel Neo had said, oh well, shouldn’t dwell too much on unhappy things for long.

Good evening everyone. Doing another post earlier than the usual time that I type again.
It’s currently seven minutes after ten on my clock as I type this post on my laptop that the school loaned to me. I’m currently doing heavy video conversion for my dad’s video on my desktop computer so I’m stuck with crappy laptop keyboard for now. LOL.
How are you the reader today? Is your day good? Or is it an unhappy day?
I always pray for a good day but sometimes life isn’t always a bed of roses.
But thank God for He is always with me to help me walk through each day like never before, and each new day better than the last!Yeah let’s proceed with today’s events.
I woke up exceptionally early than the usual time as my good friend Wei Zhi wanted me to help him out with some codes. Yes the submission date for our projects for the Java competition is drawing nearer and everyone’s rushing and typing their projects like mad. LOL.
So I met him in school (a little late for I drag around the house a little, LOL) and gave him some help, but I’m sorry that it wasn’t enough.
The place that we were in to discuss about the codes was the library. Around 9.30am one of the librarian came and to my surprised told me that the library is closing early due to a function that our school is having.
I was like HUH?!
Even the library closes for that function?!
Oh yeah I and those who participated for our school’s opening ceremony which the prime minister came were invited for that function, which is actually an appreciation lunch for all staff and student that helped out.
Alright so after not much help for Wei Zhi, we went over to the function hall where it was held. Man, there were so many people from all courses!
Amazing that the school united as one to made the opening ceremony a successful one, in spite of our diversity.
Principal gave a short speech and we attacked the food. LOL
Half way through my meal while having a discussion with Nithy, someone tapped me on the back and to my very surprised, it was the PRINCIPAL!
He came over to ask how the food was and I could only smile in delight for my mouth was too full to reply. LOL
He even apologized about the catering that we were treated to after the opening ceremony, for the caterer short changed us and gave us crappy food, which I find it true. LOL
Anyway the principal told me that this lunch was to make up for that unpleasant catering we had and I thank him for the food, followed by Nithy asking why he wasn’t eating.
He replied with a smile saying that he wanted to make sure everything was alright before he tuck in.
That’s responsibility on the highest level man.
The principal, of all people, should be the first in line to eat but he ate LAST.
Man, I salute his sense of responsibility.
I thank God for bringing me to a school with good leaders in charge, which whom I can learn good values from.
Who knows, I might even be a principal someday. LOL.
After the lunch I and some of my team members present went back and resumed on our project, which Nithy came over to help us for a little while before presenting out concept to our Course Manager.
He was quite pleased at our concept even though it was just only a prototype. LOL.
Thank you God for the favor of men!
Ended today’s meeting early and I requested to Nithy that the next time for meeting be next week, and not tomorrow, for I wanted to worship God.
To my surprise Nithy agreed and YAY we officially have about five days of break. LOL.
I’ve been doing Java and Java for this entire week and was pretty worn out.
In fact this whole week actually has been a simulation of how exactly it will be like when I enter the industry to work.
Thank God for giving me opportunities and rest.
Went back home, played some games (CS and Final Fantasy VII, don’t laugh). I’m getting better in CS and I hope with more practice, I might get back the skills when I first started playing CS.
Final Fantasy VII. Yes I played it this evening!
Now don’t laugh alright. I can understand this game is like 8 years old but hey, this game always brings back nostalgic feelings for me.
This is the game that single handedly changed the RPG industry in the world and back then it was so advanced for its time.
This IS the game that I’ve decided to become a game designer/programmer, so please show some respect. LOL.
Yeah I’m going off to help out with my mum now.

Good evening people! Currently its 10:33pm on my clock and I’m typing this post earlier than my usual time of around 11+pm, cause currently I have some free time so might as well make the best out of my time.
I woke up feeling extremely lack of sleep again. Currently I have about seven and a half hours of sleep each day.
Weird! Why do I still constantly feel so sleepy? I guess my sleep debt has accumulated so much that I think I need more sleeping hours then what I have currently.
Oh well never mind then back to the story.
I went to school again to resume my Java competition project with my team members. I mentioned in my previous post that I was having difficulty installing some applications on that awful Solaris operating system so Nithy and I tackle this problem today.
Well what can I say man!
Nithy and I both managed to install all the critical applications that allow my project to run on Solaris! Nithy got the database software running while I got the programming software up!
Praise the Lord!
Two brains are definitely better than one! LOL.
Man it took us quite some time for both of us was unfamiliar with the Solaris environment.
Just in case you the reader were thinking what’s so difficult in installing just two programs, let me tell you that whatever you do in Solaris, it is done by COMMAND LINE INTERFACE!
Yes you’ve read correctly, even though the new Solaris 10 has a fantastic graphical user interface (GUI), we still have to do everything by commands.
But I can say that those great guys back at Sun still did a good job of increasing our productivity by having this wonderful GUI!
Windows (especially Windows XP) is soooooooo user friendly that I almost cry once I’ve returned back to using Windows XP. LOL.
So if you’re reading my blog on a Windows platform you better appreciate it regardless of all those bad mouthing about Microsoft alright!
Anyway life constantly has tests to strengthen you.
Even though the applications are working the project that I’ve transferred to Solaris isn’t.
It’s alright for God is always with me and guiding me. I’ll try to solve those again later or tomorrow.
Thank God once again for we ended the meeting early today. I went back home to catch up on some loss sleep. Woke up feeling a little better and continued with my work.
And more problems came up.
The updated files done by Yik Loong, my team member wasn’t working on my laptop. I couldn’t solve the references problems that occurred.
My dad came chasing after me for his China videos. I have to explain to him EXTREMLY slowly about why it is taking so long.
Hey, try converting a 30GB RAW video into an avi format after editing and again convert it to a DVD format suitable for playback on DVD players and you’ll understand what I mean.
Anyway, with yet still much problems unsolved, I left some processes running and went to take a bath.
Half way throughout my bath, God told me, “DON’T GIVE UP!”
Wow. That really rejuvenates me man.
Oh yeah the surprising thing was, I don’t understand why I always get ideas and solutions for problems whenever I am in the toilet. LOL.
I always do short prayers whenever I go, so to all my Christian friends reading, you’ll never know when miracles from God might come from all those short prayers.
Prayer is actually talking to God so constantly updating God whatever good or bad things happen is good for He will rather we run to Him than running away from Him.
God’s ways and miracles will always come right on time when you need Him the most.
Anyway, I’m going back to doing my work now.

Good…morning everyone. Gosh this post was supposed to be meant for April 5th but at the time of this writing, it’s currently 12.01am on my clock. LOL.
How are you, those that are having holidays, is your holidays coming along?
And how are you, those that aren’t on holiday, is your day?
I had a great day today.
It’s currently the seventh day of my holiday. Another busy day, oh well its ok I get to learn new and more things anyway. It’s also a good preparation when I start to work and have limited holidays. LOL.
Firstly, I got to say that converting a video into another format is tedious man! A few minutes before I type this post out, the video that I was helping my dad to do took four hours to convert!
And guess what, the video FAILED to turn out the way I wanted to burn onto a DVD in the end.
I can do editing but the sad thing is I do not know the settings for turning the edited video into a format which in turn can be burned onto a DVD for playback on a DVD player.
Oh well I’ll ask around then.
I woke up today feeling extremely lack of sleep. No choice, I have to go to school for my Java competition. I’m willing to sacrifice for advancing my knowledge. ;)
My team spent a long day at school working on the project. I
I was in charge of the programming but I couldn’t seem to understand the codes in the early hours of the meeting. Even after Nithy’s explanations, my brain wasn’t functioning that well due to lack of sleep.
Darn, the disadvantages of limited sleep.
Anyway I tried installing Solaris on Joanna’s laptop as she requested, the operating system was a little difficult to install and I managed to get it to start the installation after my fourth try.
Thank God for giving me endurance. =)
However, I wanted to praise God for close to the end of the meeting, I FINALLY grasp hold of the concept and how everything works after Nithy had another personal in-dept revision with me!
Halleluyah!
Back at home, I tried to install applications on my Solaris but had a hell time figuring out how to even launch the installation process!
Man! Those Solaris professionals sure are intelligent!
I message Nithy about the problem and he told me that we’ll settle it together tomorrow. Good then. I can resume my study on the codes.
Currently as I type this post, I am feeling extremely sleepy after going through about 73% of the codes from the project.
I guess I’ll head for bed now.

Good evening people! This is the first time that I am doing a double post for a day. =P
Its currently 11.20pm on my clock now.
Man, I had quite a busy day.
Eyes are dropping, body is hunching and brain is starting to shut down as I type this post. However, I wanted to put something across and here is the story.
I awoke to a fantastic shouting that came from my dad.
“Wake up! We are going to Guan Min Shan!” he said from somewhere in the house.
Damn, I did not have enough sleep for I stayed up late the previous night! I trudge out of bed slowly and sleepy.
“Guan Min Shan? What for?” I asked sleepy, my brain obviously not powered up yet but knowing what the motive is for going as Guan Ming Shan is Singapore’s Buddhism land!
My dad yelled back in an insulting manner, “We are going to pray to our ancestors today! We pray to Buddhism gods and not some Jesus Christ ok!”
DAMN. That got my brain kicked into a nuclear reaction. I was going to go whatever where he wants me to knowing the reason that it will be something related to Buddhism but WHY MUST YOU SHOOT ME THAT? I’ve learned to respect other religion and what others pray to, why can’t you?!
“You pray to what you like and I pray to what I like alright!” I yelled back, pissed at the lack of sleep and now this!
I went to brush my teeth and wash up. My dad was busily preparing some offering and stuff for my ancestors to take along to Guan Min Shan and did not said a thing as I walked pass him. I went to get breakfast and ate it as fast as I could; ready to spend the few hours with him at Guan Min Shan half heartedly. I mean I will accompany my dad to help him with whatever he wants to do and perhaps pay my respects by bowing and cleaning my ancestors’ tombs but I will not break my Christian values by praying to them!!
When I finally died, I want NOBODY praying to me! Respecting yes, bowing is the most I allowed you to do! No praying, kneeing, kowtow or burning whatever crap damn it!
Anyway as I was finishing my tea (oh yes I love tea with milk!), my father told me that he will go by himself. My mother was furious at me getting my dad to go alone for he was carrying tons of stuff but I just told her that I wanted to go yet he insists on leaving by himself. I know that he is disappointed and hurt by what I have said but I just kept quiet and allowed him to just leave.
Changing quickly, my mum went out of the house, following my dad, disappointed too at my attitude.
Jolly well, I can spend the time studying.
Sometimes, I allowed disappointment to happen not because I like it. Hey I rather like everyone to be happy and joyful but sometimes you need the disappointments to learn when you are oblivious to the mistakes you had done.
Who wouldn’t like being happy and having things go their way?
I besieged you reader, please think about what you want to say before it comes out of your mouth. Will it hurt or edify or encourage or help or brighten or condemn or downgrade or kills the person?
Sometimes you meant to say something as a harmless joke but what if that person was down that day and got real affected by what you said? He/she might take it as an insult and what you meant for good natural fun eventually turned you and the other party into having a cold war?
My pastor did say that our words can either give life, or take life. I’ve always remembered what he said for it does make sense and I feared God. I myself would not want my words to deal death but to bring life and glory in an otherwise depressing world that we live in.
I was real hurt and pissed by what my dad had said therefore I shoot back at him and only have half the heart to help him.
If only you had not sting me so deeply…I would have gladly devoted 5-6 hours accompanying and helping you all the way.
Lord please forgive me for what I’ve done.

Good morning people! Its 10:12am on my clock here. I was too busy to post anything yesterday, so I guess I would do a double post today, one for yesterday and one post later for today.
I woke up early around 7am yesterday to head for school. My ITE friends who are reading this might be wondering why I am going to school for our term holiday has already started!
Well to satisfy your curiosity, I’m going back to school to meet up with my team for a Java competition. However, what I am doing is confidential, so I can’t say much about it.
Everyone came except Benson, who was sick. Nithy (that’s my teacher in charge) gave us a run through on how the program is supposed to work.
The program is good and innovative, but it’s hard to program it! Some of the technologies involved are a little alien to me, but thank God that I’ve found some sources that helps! Praise the Lord!
Tried installing Sun’s Solaris 10 onto my VMWare but it gave me lots of problem. After a few attempts I gave up and opted to instead borrow the installation discs and install the operating system (yes it’s an operating system! Bet you never heard of it! =P ). At the time of this writing, Solaris is up and working perfectly! Praise God!
Half way through out the meeting, Nithy went for lunch leaving us to continue the work. I was troubleshooting some database on Joanna’s laptop, one of my team members, told me that Kelvin ( my networking teacher) was asking for my number from her in MSN. Didn’t I give it to him the other time? Puzzled about the strange question, I gave her my number and she relay it to Kelvin, adding that I was here in school.
Kelvin came to the lab that we were working in shortly holding a sheet of paper. He was looking for me and asked whether I am certain that I wanted to go and specialize in Multimedia, one of my courses. I was very certain until he started to lists out more about the pros and cons about it. By then my team members also came over to enquire about certain things.
What we and Kelvin said about is a little confidential. LOL
However, to my ITE friends, all I can say that seven people from our class had FAILED.
And those that left early during the networking exam claiming that it was easy FAILED. LOL.
Anyway, what I and Kelvin talked about did caused me to have second thoughts about both Networking and Multimedia. Kelvin told me to consider it and gave me a day to decide.
After the meeting is over we left the lab and I was still thinking about my specialization choice and what Kelvin had said. Was pondering what to had for lunch too when my friend Yik Loong suggested our school’s cafeteria. The rest of the team members wanted to eat elsewhere and I wanted to get over lunch quickly so I agreed to have lunch in school with him. =P
We departed separately for I had to pass something to my friend Wei Zhi. I went over to his house because his phone was down and to my horror of horror, when I arrived at his block, I totally forgotten which floor that he stayed on! Damn!
Dejected I took the train back home.
Back at home I played some games and did some studying and my mum instructed me what to do before she left for work. I just nodded in reply and went back to my studies. My brother shortly went to take a short nap and I too, tried to take one too but was constantly interrupted by the ringing from the telephone!
Frustrated I got up and resume my studies. Yeah in case you the reader might be wondering what I am studying despite it’s the holidays, its Java and C++. Call me stupid or crazy but I cannot slack and relax for long. I need to do some productive work! LOL.
Before I became a Christian I was not really that enthusiastic but it’s different now. =P
My brother woke up complaining he was feeling sick. I measured his temperature. 38.4 degrees. Wow!
Got him to rest back at his bed and gave him some water to drink. He fell back to sleep.
Later in the night my dad came back and wanted me to resume capturing the video that he took from China into the computer. I set everything in motion and took the laptop that the school loan it to me and went into the living room to do some web surfing while video capturing in process.
I decided to update my blog’s skin and praise God! I discovered this skin in Blogskins.com and decided to use it!
As I applied this skin to my blog, I realized my passion for 3D was still there (even though I did not know or do anything related to 3D up to this point!), so I’ve decided I will not change my previous decision and continue to go for Multimedia! When I am able to do 3D and multimedia stuff, I can add interactivity to it and therefore start to produce a short game!
Praise the Lord!
Whew. What a long entry huh. I don’t know why, LOL, but I like to type in the best English that I could mustered, therefore this long entry. LOL.
All right, I’ll end here for now. I’ll have another post later at night.

Good evening people! It’s currently 11.18pm on my clock here. I’ve taken a step of faith and crossed the line to create my first ever blog!
Well since this is my first post, I would like to say what my blog is about.
This blog is about the people I’ve interact with and the events that chronicled daily.
I’ll do my best to edify and inspire you the reader with my blog. I will not rant and rave too much. LOL.
I’ll write with the best Standard English that I can write in. Pardon me if I’ve added some Singlish to my posts. Come on, I’m living in Singapore and I’m constantly been bombarded by Singlish everywhere siaaaaaaaaa!
Currently I do not have a tag board but it’ll be up soon. I do hope to hear some comments from you the reader soon!
Lastly, you must be wondering why the heck the URL to my blog is so long!
I’m in a constant warfare.
I need to constantly advance my learning and knowledge to be able to fight and work efficiently; not giving up easily for the Holy Spirit is always with me.
